Christmas Cards with Horses

Updated on July 23, 2013

Celebrate the Holidays with Cards for Horse Lovers

If you're a horse lover, there's nothing that says "Christmas" quite like greeting cards with horses in the snow. Whether you enjoy photos or artwork featuring these beautiful animals, there are many greetings available for the holidays that feature horses on them, but finding them can be a challenge because card stores don't always allow you to search by keywords. This page helps solve that problem. I love horses and have collected some of my favorite horse Christmas cards from retailers around the web, including one of my own designs that is available on my Zazzle store. If you're a horse lover, I'm sure you'll find something here that meets your holiday needs!

Western Christmas Cards with Horses from Leanin' Tree

Specialists in Western images

One of the best places to shop online for Christmas cards with horses is Leanin' Tree.

Leanin' Tree has been selling western greetings since 1949 when founder Ed Trumble began selling holiday cards through the mail to farmers and ranchers. Today, the company has grown from a small two-man operation that offered just four options that first year to a corporation that offers over 3,000 unique greeting cards for everyday occasions as well as major holidays. According to the company's website, they now ship over 20 million greeting cards a year.

But it's still a family-owned business that focuses on western art. The company's mission is "To bring the best in art and words together in a way that touches your heart." Here are some of their beautiful horse images.

Merry Christmas Horse-Drawn Sleigh by wayiseeit

This Christmas greeting is available from my Zazzle store, where you can customize it with your own text. I shot this photo of a horse-drawn sleigh on a trip to Lake Tahoe. The sleigh had stopped for a few minutes to let the kids play in the snow, so I jumped out in about 12 inches of drift to take this shot. If you dream of riding a horse-drawn sleigh over the river and through the woods, I hope you will enjoy this card!
