Christmas Gift Ideas for Coworkers

Updated on December 3, 2014

Christmas Gift Ideas for Coworkers

Sometimes it's difficult thinking what to get co-workers for Christmas. You might have a certain spending limit, or you might want to get something little for all your co-workers.

This page will mainly have cheap-ish ideas for if you are doing a gift exchange (like "Secret Santa")

Inflatable Christmas Tree

Your co-worker may appreciate an inflatable Christmas tree that they can use to decorate their office/cubicle each year. The tree is not that big and can fit on a desk. Sometimes it doesn't feel like Christmas time when you are working in late December, but with this at least things can be a little more festive at your desk.

Ornaments are not included, but it has a hole on the end of the limbs for you to hang ornaments, so you should get them some little ornaments to go along with it.

Sweet Gift Ideas

Many coworkers would appreciate homemade cookies, or even store bought cookies if you are like me and not good at baking anything.

Candy can also make a nice gift for co-workers. If you go to a local supermarket or big box store, you will probably see a lot of Christmas themed candy options to choose from.

A mug with some hot chocolate to go along with it is another idea I really like!

Do you have long lines for the microwave at work?

You can put some of yesterday's leftovers into this and plug it in at work and have hot food for lunch.

Some people put precooked soup or chilli in it.

The thing you can't put into it is uncooked food (no raw meat!) - it's for reheating only.

These come in different colors - black, blue, red, and pink.

A Christmas Album

You can get your co-worker a Christmas album as a gift. They do not cost too much money, and if you get them an album that is a new release, then chances are they don't have it yet.

This year in 2014, my pick would be Christmas at Downton Abbey which was released in the US on November 17, 2014. If you co-worker is into Downton Abbey then maybe they would like that too.

Another Christmas Album that was released in 2014 is That's Christmas to Me by Pentatonix. I think pretty much anyone could get into their music.

Idina Menzel also came out with an album called Holiday Wishes

Crazy Female Coworker Pinhead Doll

This is a "doll" you can stick pins in... it comes with 10 pins.

The doll has different phrases written on it that might remind you of an annoying coworker.

The phrase that makes me cringe the most is "Bite or clip your nails in private" I really hate it when people clip their nails in the office... I'm not sure if I noticed people biting their nails as much. Clipping your nails makes a sound that really irritates me. It doesn't irritate me as much when I'm clipping my own nails though, but I of course wouldn't dream of doing that at work!

This is really for a coworker with a sense of humor in an office environment with a sense of humor.

Insane boss? Crazy customers? This could come in handy.

Something Cool for their Desk

I think a co-worker would like something interesting they could put on their desk, whether it's a cool tape dispenser, a picture frame, cell phone holder, or some kind of Christmas decoration.

Some jobs are so stressful that workers might like a punching ball for their desk. Maybe it wouldn't be appropriate for all office environments, like if you had clients coming by your desk, but it would also be a cool gift for your desk at home.

Desk Games

If your office allow desk games, they would make a fun gift idea for a coworker.

You can find a lot of different kinds of small versions of different games for your desk but I think Desktop Basketball looks like a good one.

If your co-worker is into a certain type of sport, you could search for a desktop game for that kind of sport!
