Sesame Street Christmas

Updated on June 3, 2014

A Family Christmas Favorite

One of my favorite holiday memories is watching Christmas Eve on Sesame Street with my children. This is a classic film special that was released in 1978. Whether you've seen the Sesame Street program or not, it is a great holiday show for the entire family. At 21 years old, my daughter can still say that she honestly loves this holiday favorite.

The film follows the characters Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, Ernie and Bert and Cookie Monster very closely during Christmas Eve and the challenges they all must face. Christmas Eve on Sesame Street also features Kermit the Frog.

Whether you're a toddler or a full grown adult, this show will be quite memorable. The main plot is about Big Bird finding the true meaning of Christmas, but within that are humorous side stories from the other characters, cheerful Christmas songs and quite a few jokes.
