How to Put Christmas Spirit into Jars

Updated on December 2, 2013

Christmas Spirit Jars are a Quick and Easy Gift Idea

Several years ago, I came up with a quick, easy and inexpensive Christmas gift idea which was inspired by a quote by Harlan Miller as I imagined what it might be like to "put up Christmas Spirit in jars." The jars are my way to keep the Christmas spirit alive year 'round.

Thus the Christmas Spirit Jar idea was born. In addition to being a quick and easy gift idea, it can also be an inexpensive one if you recycle jars and netting from items that you already have purchased for food use.

The Christmas Spirit in a Jar is also very meaningful craft idea that makes for lovely gifts for teachers, friends and Christmas hostess gifts. They make great last minute or "Secret Santa" gifts.

Even thought I'd already written about the Christmas Spirit Jar in the past, I decided to create a new lens for the Holiday "How To" challenge using the new "How To' module. This time around I had several examples of the jars we created to give to my daughters' teachers.

Be sure to weigh in and cast your vote on what you think reminds you the most of Christmas Spirit.
