Consumable Gift Ideas

Updated on September 9, 2014

When People Have Everything, Consider Consumable Gifts

Some people literally have everything they need and most things they want. For these hard-to-buy-for folks, consider consumable gift ideas.

Consumable gifts are just what they sound like: items that can be consumed or used up.

More stuff is not only wasteful but usually not necessary. When you still want to show you care, giving one of these gifts will do the trick without being a gift that gets re-gifted or otherwise ignored and not appreciated.

Face it. Most older folks (and many younger ones) don't need more "stuff" that will sit around the house.

Buy a gift they will use and enjoy.

I love getting consumable gifts at Christmas. Someone in the family usually gets sausage and cheese gift box. That's my favorite, but I'm open to getting candy and nuts too :)
