Money Money Money

Whether you are unsure of what to get someone or they would simply really appreciate it, sometimes money is the perfect gift! The only trouble is how to give the gift of money appropriately. Sure you could stick some cash inside a card but where is the fun and surprise in that? You still want to show the person that you spent some time in thinking this through. The following ideas are a great way to show your creative side. The way you present your gift will show the other person your thoughtfulness and add a lot of fun.

Box of Money

A great way to give money for nearly any occasion is to present it like a box of candy! This fun and easy method will surely make the receiver very happy. For this you will need a candy box with the dividing wrappers still in place. It's up to you what you do with the candy! Fold bills into varying shapes and use coins to fill the dividers. The nice thing about giving money this way is that you can wrap up the box in wrapping paper and top with a bow for the perfect present.

Candy Coins

Candy coins are the perfect gift for anyone who has to deal with coin operated laundry machines! Usually this is the case for college students living in a dorm, so this is perfect for the high school grad. Also great for stocking stuffers during the holidays because they look like candy! Simply wrap rolled coin rolls in the wrapping paper of your choice. (Striped paper really gives it that candy-like look). Layer clear or transparent colored wrapping paper on top leaving about an extra inch on each side. Twist the ends and tie with string or ribbon. Easy!

All About the Dough

Pizza money is a fun presentation method that is super easy and lots of fun to open! Simply obtain a clean pizza box (consider getting one from your local pizza store to avoid oil stains). Arrange enough bills in the center of the box to form a circle formation. A little bit of tape is necessary here to hold down the bills to the box and to keep the circular shape. Spruce up your money pizza by adding a custom message on the inside of the box. You may even want to add some "peperoni" coins on the top. Perfect for pizza and money lovers... who isn't?

Ballon Money

The balloon money gift is great because it also doubles as a decoration! Easy to make and fun to give. Simply obtain clear or semi-transparent balloons for this, you will want to make sure you'll be able to see the money! Unless of course you would like it to be a surprise when the balloons pop (think about games such as throwing darts at balloons pinned to a wooden board). Roll up the desired number of bills into a tight cylinder shape. Insert the rolled up bills into a deflated balloon and then add air and blow up as usual. This gift can be used for any occasion where balloons are appropriate.

Money Eggs

Although they work great on Easter, these money eggs can be used at any time of the year! Brightly colored plastic eggs are the perfect container for cash or coins. You can even coordinate the color of the eggs with the theme of the occasion. Giant golden eggs are also lots of fun and can hold quite a bit of cash!

Folding Money

Another way to creatively gift money is by folding it into a special shape! There are many origami dollar variations that you can use. Some are easier than others. YouTube has many videos that offer step by step instructions that make it easy to follow and create your very own money art. You can make anything from a shirt and tie to an entire rose! The bill transforms into a gift in itself!

Get Creative

Giving money doesn't have to be boring! Whether you choose one of the ideas here or come up with an idea of your own, everybody wins. Get creative and have fun!

Wow, this is interesting and does make the gift of money more meaningful. I don't think I could handle making the shirt and tie but it would be fun to receive the money this way. Voted up.
