Day Dead a Mexican Holliday

Day Dead or 'Dia de los Muertos' is a mexican tradition to celebrate those relative or friends that have passed away no matter how long, just it is important if they still are in our memories. This holliday is celebrated on November 2, the day of All Saints or 'Dia de todos los Santos'. Although is an equivalent to Halloween celebration it is not exactly the same purpose because at Day Dead more than a theatrical show with monsters, ghosts, vampires, etc it is an spiritual/religious oriented event. However that doesn't mean it is a sad ocassion, on the contrary except few cases everybody is excited and waiting at night the spirits of their loved ones with the meals, beverages favorited by death people when they were still alive.
