Decorate with Sound for Halloween

Updated on September 18, 2014

Make Halloween Come Alive with Sound Effects

I am amazed how scary, spooky, and creepy sound effects can create images that are not there.

Think about when you pass a house with eerie sounds coming from it what your mind conjures up. No props are necessary to create the image that goes with the sound.

What if it is dark outside and you hear a sound you are not familiar with, what do you see? I'll bet your mind can conjure up images that not even the best Halloween designer could create.

Sounds are cheap and readily available, so have fun with one of the least expensive ways to create a scary party atmosphere.

Sound App For Halloween - Lots of Variety

I am far from a tech person, but an app gives you more control over your sound choices.

You can program your app to play random sounds automatically at set intervals to create just the right haunted house atmosphere.

Using an app is almost like creating your own sounds. It offers the versatility that a soundtrack cannot give you.

Just another choice in the many Halloween sounds available for your party.

Create Your Own Halloween Sound Effects

Easy and Cheaply

Let's say that you listen to the Halloween soundtracks available and none contain the sounds that fit well with the atmosphere you want to create.

No problem. Make your own soundtrack.

There are numerous websites that offer free soundtracks that you can listen to and mix and match as much as you desire. You can try

Halloween Sound Tracks

On Halloween Sound Tracks you will find sixty different sounds, including demons, monsters, vampires, horror, chains, etc. Combine them into whatever your party theme might be and you will have a personalized sound party.

Sound and Light

To Create A Fright

If you want to be really spooky, add light. Light effects also stir the imagination to create its own images.

My intention is to offer you a prop free Halloween environment without losing any of the effects that props can offer.

All the ordinary props, scary, spooky or otherwise, will be there without having purchased them. Imagination is so much more creative and so much more frightening than a purchased prop.

So for an inexpensive Halloween party that will be one of the scariest you could create you might think of adding light to your sound.

What Do You Think of Using Sound - As A Primary Component of Your Party
