Decorative Wine Cork Holders

Updated on February 24, 2014

Creative Ways To Display Your Wine Corks

If you're a wine drinker, like myself, you've probably seen your share of wine corks. If you haven't thrown them out or sent them to recycling, you may even have a bag of them around the house.

As a tour guide, living in Niagara's wine country, I have mastered the art of getting the cork out of the bottle in record time but had always been wondering what to do with the corks. I find varied uses for them, using them as a pin cushion and stamping stencil. However, while I wait around for a creative cork moment, it is nice to be able to display them. I love the texture and neutrality of the colors.

If you are also waiting for the time to find a creative way to display wine corks, then you have come to the right place. Decorative wine cork holders take all the guess work out of the age old question 'What can I do with my wine corks'?

Cork Facts

Cork trees mature at about 25 years and it is then that the bark is harvested.

Subsequent harvests can occur every nine years.

Only half the bark is taken, allowing the tree to continue thriving.

The average cork oak tree can live up to 200 years.
