Halloween is one of the most amusing, unpredictable and exciting holidays, which is popular among people of all ages. Although this is the typical US holiday, it gains popularity in other countries of the world these days. This is because Halloween is always associated with unlimited fun, tricky contests, spooky costumes and decorations, crazy parties and, of course, delicious treats. Listed below are the top-5 tasty Halloween desserts, which will become a real highlight of your Halloween party.

1. Ghost Fruit

According to ancient beliefs, all evil spirits become alive on one and the same night – October 31. If your child already knows the essence of the holiday and its attributes, then you are welcome to surprise your kid with the Ghost Fruit dessert!

Although the main Halloween dish is, undoubtedly, the pumpkin, the dessert composed of bananas and mandarins will become an ideal addition to the festive table as well. To cook the treat, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 2 bananas
  • 4 mandarins
  • 12 chocolate drops
  • 4 pieces of celery

Peel the bananas and the mandarins. Cut the bananas into 2 halves and place them vertically on a plate. Attach chocolate drops so that they resembled eyes and mouths. If you don’t have chocolate drops at hand, you can draw the faces using chocolate icing. Then, take small pieces of celery and insert them in the middle of the mandarins to create small “pumpkins”. The dessert is ready!

This cute dessert will surely appeal to any child. Moreover, it is extremely easy to cook! Get the following ingredients ready:

  • A big green apple
  • Lemon juice (25 ml)
  • Peanut butter (100 g)
  • White sugarplums

To cook the dessert, remove the pits from the apple and cut it into thick pieces. After that, pour lemon juice onto the pieces of apple to prevent them from changing color. Apply a thick layer of peanut butter on each piece of apple and try to attach them to each other so that they resembled the jaws. The final component of the dish is the white sugarplums that are placed inside the “jaws” to imitate the teeth. If you don’t have this ingredient at home, you can replace it with nuts or raisins in the while chocolate.

3. Caramel Apples

This is a traditional Halloween dessert, which will please your guests. It is so delicious that it has to be included into the festive menu! To cook the treat, you will need the ingredients listed below:

  • 4 apples
  • Butter (75 g)
  • Nuts (75 g)
  • Sugar (300 g)

Brown the nuts on a frying pan without any butter and let them cool down. After that, make nut crumbs using the blender. Wash the apples and replace the peduncles with the wooden tooth picks. Melt the butter in a pot, add sugar and wait until the liquid caramel is ready. Then place the fruit into the caramel and the nut crumbs. Wait until the caramel hardens and you are welcome to offer the treat to your guests!

4. Ghost Pears

This dessert always looks fantastic on the festive table. It is also very tasty and nutritious! To cook the treat, you will need:

  • 4 rape pears
  • Apple juice (300 ml)
  • Pomegranate juice (200 ml)
  • Cinnamon (1 stick)
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Cloves

Peel the pears and place them in the pot. Add apple juice and a piece of a cinnamon stick. Let the fruit boil on a light flame for 20 minutes until the pears become soft. After that, place the fruit on a plate, remove the cinnamon from the juice and continue boiling it for 5-10 minutes.

Take another pot, pour pomegranate juice inside and boil it during 10 minutes. Cut the bottom part of the pears to be able to place them vertically on a plate. Pour the pears with apple juice and make eyes and mouths on them using sunflower seeds and cloves. To make the faces look really spooky, add a bit of pomegranate juice on their mouths to imitate blood.

Apple jaws will add fun to your festive Halloween table. To cook them, you will need such ingredients:

  • 2 apples
  • Lemon juice (1 tablespoon)
  • Peeled almond nuts (4-6 pieces)

This dessert is so simple that even a child can make it! Everything you should do is to wash the apple and cut it into 4 equal parts. Remove the kernel, take the knife and make a deep cut that will imitate the open mouth. Pour the apples with lemon juice to prevent them from changing color. Insert peeled and cut almond nuts into the jaws to make them look like real teeth. That’s it - your apple jaws are ready!
