Updated on September 6, 2019

Dress to spook with your other half

When October arrives it's time to choose that couples costume. Whether looking for ideas for besties or lovers there are plenty to choose from. Take inspiration from famous duos throughout time or maybe think outside the box and go as condiments such as mustard and ketchup. So if they are the flip to your flop or the peanut to your butter then get choosing now.

The Joker and Harley Quinn

Harley Quinn and the Joker from Suicide Squad are the sharpest of couples costumes with their twisted but deep love. This is pretty easy to put together - the clothing can be found from local charity stores. You'll need temporary green hair dye and a green waist coat and white shirt. Use white face paint to cover the entire face, For the mouth, use red paint to make a smile across your face.

Clark Kent and Lois Lane

He wants to whisk you off your feet like Lois Lane, and he’s your Superman. So dress the part! The main item you need for this one is a superman tee shirt. Look ultra cute by wearing matching white shirts and black framed glasses.

Deer & Hunter

A camouflage outfit for the guy and tan leggings and a white sweater as well as a fur vest for the gal. A reindeer antler headband can be purchased at the dollar store.

Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable

Herald 90s cartoons and dress up as these favorite secret spies. A red wig will come in very handy for this. You'll need olive & khaki cargo pants, black t-shirts and black gloves.

Peter Pan & Tinker bell

For the couple that don't want to grow up - let's fly to Neverland. A green dress with wings for tinker bell and a green outfit for Peter Pan - could it be more simple to look this cute ?!

Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy

For the the seashell bra - hot glue shells to an orange top and buy 2 pairs of black shorts to team the outfits with. A sailor hat can either be made or purchased at a halloween store.

A striped green shirt paired with plain khaki pants is definitely needed for this one. For the polka dots on the dress - use a darker blue t shirt and cut out small circles and hot glued them all over the dress.

Forrest Gump and Jenny

The main thing to get right here is the stance of Forrest. After that you will need a plaid shirt, a red hat and denims. For Jenny , you can wear a blonde wig and don some hippy whites. Run Forrest, run!

Flo & Jake
