DIY Inexpensive Custom Easter Baskets

Updated on April 6, 2012

DIY Custome Easter Baskets

Creating a fun and unique Easter Basket does not have to be expensive or too time consuming. I created these two adorable Easter baskets with two dollar store $1 buckets and some treats from the Target dollar bins (love those). What makes them fun and unique is the vinyl bunny with the recipients name on it. After Easter, the girls can use these cute little buckets for the beach or to hold crayons or hair clips.

Vinyl Bunny

Using the Silhouette Cameo and White Vinyl

To make the custom bunnies, I purchased a bunny shape from the Silhouette Online Store (on sale for $0.75). I manipulated the deign in the Silhouette Design Studio to the perfect size for the bucket and typed in the girls names using SL Hollywood Hills Font (a bold font works best). I cut the design using my Cameo onto white vinyl, weeded out the names, and transferred it to the plastic bucket using transfer paper. It took a total of 10 minutes from start to finish. To jazz it up a bit, I added some fun puffy stickers that I also found in the Target dollar bin.
