DIY Make your own photo snow globe is a unique and personalized gift idea for every holiday and special occasion. You can buy them in kits with easy to follow instructions and really make it personal. Many of them offer a protected photo area you can add a picture to, of the person you are giving a gift to, a special memory time you shared or a cute photo of yourself.

Photo snow globes are especially do it yourself fun when it's a family project you share in creating with someone you love. What a fun winter arts and crafts project with your children or grandchildren. You can also buy them in smaller sizes that are perfect for birthday parties. Not only will everyone have fun making their own special memory, it's a great party favor gift that keeps on giving long after the special day.

Buying the kit and having the fun of putting it together is DIY fun, but be creative and go a step further. Many snow globes have a base inside and you can mount some of your favorite figurines etc to them first. Then my favorite part, use paint, stickers, pebbles or beads to decorate the outside and really make it super personal.

Snow Globe Memories Last Forever

Gifts From The Heart

Have you ever made a snow globe? I know a lot of people who even collect them. Some snow globes are so magical and beautiful and they are expensive showpieces. You can buy personalized snow globes featuring themes you will love as gifts from some great stores and have names and dates put on them and they are beautiful too and sometimes more appropriate as formal gifts. But for me there is nothing as special as the DIY from the heart.

DIY snow globes may not be a museum piece but it definitely will have a special place in your heart.

Great Gift Idea

I think photo snow globes are a great gift idea, especially when you personalize them with your own special creative touch and photos. How cute for baby showers, birthdays, anniversaries and even bridal showers, imagine a photo of the bride on one side and the groom on the other from say, when they were younger.

Anniversaries are a great occasion to display the happy couple and their wedding photo with maybe an updated one of them both on the other side.

Photo Memories

Graduations from college or any grade are such a momentous occasion and I know a photo globe would always be appreciated and so fun to display.

Birthdays through the years, so many wonderful memories and the best part is with DIY snowglobe kits, you can personalize them inside and out.

Paint or stencil names, dates or your special message with some really creative and inexpensive crafts from the craft store and voila, photo memories showcased forever.

A really fun idea is making a special snow globe each time the family goes on vacation together with photos from the trip, maybe even include some small momentos on the inside or glue them to the outside of the snow globe. Add the year and where either to the photo or the outside base and it's like a snowglobe photo album.

Photo Memories On Both Sides

Photo Snow Globe kits come in different sizes and a kit like this one is really pretty and the globe is not glass, but you couldn't tell unless you touch it. You can insert two photos one on each side.

Make It Kid Friendly

There are great kid friendly snow globe kits available too. Just because they are having fun doesn't mean they can't learn at the same time too. Children are a valuable part of DIY snow globes because they are always so full of ideas and absorb the memories of what they learn and the fun they share that leave some great times in their minds.

When choosing a kid friendly product, keep the age and creative level of the child in mind so they can really get their hands in there and take pride in their project.
