Easter Bunny History an eggshell

Although, the Easter bunny may seem to be a fresh new face on the scene each and every year the Easter bunny has been around for centuries. Long ago, this fun loving and happy bunny was called the Easter Hare, as time passed away the Easter hare was reinvented as the Easter bunny rabbit that we all love so well.

You see bunny rabbits are symbols of fertility, since they reproduce quite rapidly. This is why the bunny rabbit is so popular today as the Easter bunny. A long time ago some German's brought the idea of celebrating Easter with the bunny rabbit over to America. However, it was many years later before the idea of celebrating Easter and the Easter bunny caught on to become so popular in the United States. Nevertheless, individuals and families still take time to celebrate the coming of new life or a sense of rebirth during the springtime between March 22 and April 25 each year.

Easter Eggs

...the Easter Bunny is not the only one who Loves Easter eggs!

Long ago, the only type of Easter eggs you might find is those that we still make today. The oldest types of Easter eggs are colorful dyed hard boiled poultry eggs. Most often you will find Easter eggs that are chicken eggs; however, some people have even been known to boil and dye turkey eggs that are much larger than chicken eggs.

Today, we also include various colorful and patterned plastic Easter eggs. They are available in many different colors with various springtime motifs. These springtime motifs might be anything from the Easter bunny, flowers, chicks, butterflies or even camouflaged Easter eggs that are quite hard to find while hunting for Easter eggs. Most often plastic eggs for hiding and decorating are filled with sweet treats and sometimes even money. There are other types of Easter eggs that are often useful this time of the year. For instance, chocolate eggs whether they are solid chocolate or crème filled chocolate eggs. People enjoy different types of Easter eggs for different reasons; however, their reason for being enjoyable began centuries ago and the traditions still carry on today.

As far as many people are concerned today, if there are not Easter games with Easter eggs, it is not really and Easter party. The Easter egg hunt is a common tradition today, whether people are hiding and hunting eggs, while enjoying a nice family get together or even some type of community Easter celebration or there are people rolling Easter eggs on the front lawn of the White House. It just would not be Easter without colorful eggs.
