Easy Thing 1 and Thing 2 Halloween Costumes
Quickly Put Together Thing 1 and Thing 2 Costumes for Halloween
My granddaughters were Thing 1 and Thing 2 for Halloween, and my daughter-in-law hardly spent any money. They were adorable! They wore red shirts and shorts that they already had, and their white tights were dyed red (although they came out slightly pink!) Their hair was put up and sprayed with temporary bluish hair color. Circles were cut out of material, and Thing 1 and Thing 2 were written on them with a marker, and sewed onto the shirts. For Halloween bags, they used "Cat In the Hat" hats that they already had.

Hair can be sprayed a temporary blue color, as I did for my granddaughters, or wigs can be worn instead. Also, some people have used blue caps or caps with blue yarn or strips.

Dr. Seuss Characters
Thing 1 and Thing 2 are found in the classic children's book "The Cat in the Hat". The Cat brings a box into the home of a boy name Conrad and his sister Sally. When he opens the box, out jump these "things", two characters, that run around the house flying kites, bumping the walls, and breaking things. Conrad finally catches them with a net, and the Cat puts them back into the box!
