Event Organising

Updated on September 13, 2016

Event Insurance

Running an event can be a lot of fun, but as the organiser you also have a weight of responsibility on your shoulders. Co-ordinating everything and everyone is never easy and things can sometimes go wrong. Usually it's something small that only you might notice, but ocassionally you have a disaster on your hands and you're the one who has to sort it out, assess the damage and assure everyone that everything will be OK.

That's why event organisers take out insurance as a matter of course - even if it's just for one day.

One-off or One Day Event Insurance

It is possible to get a comprehensive event insurance policy if you are a one-off or one day event organiser.

You might be running a garden fete or small music festival and you need public liability insurance, cover against cancellation or you have some expensive equipment. A one-off event insurance policy should provide you with cover from around £50 - depending on what you need the cover might include:

Public Liability
Employer's Liability
Cancellation, Abandonment & Postponement cover
Event Equipment Cover

Some insurers allow you to build a policy in 'modules' so it's always worth shopping around for the best deal.
