Fun And Easy Thanksgiving Treats For Kids

Tablespoon has this cornucopia treat recipe that you can easily make with or for your kids. It's so relative to the Thanksgiving theme, I don't think a year will go by that I don't include these on my dessert table!

To make them you will need:

3/4 cup of some mixed dried fruit such as pineapple, mango, cranberries, cherries

1 1/2 cups of semi-sweet chocolates

Thanksgiving colored sprinkles (yellow, orange, gold...)

1 1/2 cups of round cereals - this recipe used Cinnamon Burst Cheerios™ cereal

Wax paper

1 box of ice cream cones

3/4 cups honey roasted peanuts

How easy are these Thanksgiving cornucopias to make? Melt the chocolate in the microwave at 30 second intervals, roll the ice cream cones in the melted chocolate and then dip the cone into the sprinkles. Place them on a sheet of wax paper.

Put the Cinnamon Burst Cheerios™, the dried fruit, and the peanuts, into a bowl. When the chocolate has hardened and set on the ice cream cones, stuff them with this mix and there you have a tasty, great looking addition to your Thanksgiving table.

Here's a very easy to make treat idea for's a Turkey Treat Cup and it's from Happy Clippings. All you will need to make these cute turkey cups is:

some clear cups,

craft googly eyes

construction paper in Thanksgiving colors


a pencil

some glue, craft, glue sticks or glue dots

A treat to put into the cups. You can use chocolate pudding, chocolate candies, or

whatever you think will make the cups look like a turkey! This dessert cup is a huge success and it's both easy and inexpensive to make.
