Gift Ideas For A College Graduate Student
Congratulations on Graduating!
College graduate students are very hard working people. College students who graduated are not just 20-25 year olds. There are lots of older people who are returning to college to get their degree or a few more degrees. College students are people from all walks of life. They are moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, people who are handicap, people who are struggling, ALL kinds of people. It is amazing that they made it through and graduated. Especially the moms who have children to take care of, cook dinner, do chores, run errands, a job to go to, and find time to study while attending college. I find those moms simply amazing! Graduating college is an experience that I have not yet been through, but I am sure it is rewarding and super exciting. I've attended a college graduation before and I can say that it is different from high school graduations. This is a lens I made for college graduation gift ideas.
GIFT IDEAS for Him/Her
(Not in Order)
Big hugs are always nice :)
Treat them to dinner
Give them a spa package
Gift cards of their favorite restaurants or stores
A good pair of running sneakers
A good ink pen that writes in black ink
Offer to give them a free make-over: hair cut, new outfit, new shoes, wax off hair, dye hair, motivate them to lose weight, etc. (have fun with it)
Gifts For a Medical Graduate Student
ORGAN PLUSHIES! These are CUTE and adorable -- suitable for a college medical student.
Personalize laptops with laptop stickers. Just one more sticker wouldn't hurt. :)
Coffee makers would be a nice gift because everyone needs that boost of caffeine to start off their day. Coffee makers are usually inexpensive $15-$30.
Business suits or professional attire will be a GREAT gift because college graduates will need to wear them to attend job interviews, meetings, appointments, etc. Make sure you know their correct measurements before purchasing clothing for your graduate student.
If you aren't too sure about their sizing then you can always purchase a tie or a nice scarf.
Give Them a Beautiful Smile!
White teeth are attractive and if your college graduate is a graduated dentist or dental assistant, doesn't it make sense if they had white teeth too? For women, wearing red lipstick can make your teeth appear whiter and brighter. If you can't afford an at-home teeth whitening kit (they can be quite expensive) then give them a good tube of RED lipstick. ;)
Concealer for Dark Eye Circles
All those restless nights staying up to to study for tests and exams can really give them dark eye circles. What they really need is much needed rest, but a quick way to fix this is concealer. Drugstore concealers are affordable and work great. Instead of telling somebody that they look tired, (of course they are tired - they're a college student!) offer them a stick of concealer. :)
Graduating college is a lot like winning the lottery. Well most of us or ALL of us has never experienced winning the lottery, but I can imagine it feels great. Instead of handing your college graduate student a wad of cash, give them a money lei. This is a beautiful and unique way to give a graduate student money. They can wear the money lei around their neck instead of unzipping their graduation gown to find a pocket to put away the wad of cash they have just received. For women, we usually wear dresses under our graduation gowns so of course we wouldn't have any pockets at all. Give a money lei made with their favorite candy, chocolate, flowers, and ribbons.
Follow These Steps
Using any dollar bills, preferably crispy ones, you can fold them into small bow ties then use a ribbon to secure the middle. Use $1, $5, $10 any amounts, even use those lucky $2.
Do you know what the secret is? If you haven't heard about The Secret then you are definitely missing out! I highly recommend everyone to watch this, even if it is just one time, you will not regret it. This is a very inspirational and eye-opening piece of work. It is also a perfect gift for anyone who just graduated college. Even if they know about The Secret, having the book and DVD would be just as sweet.
Neutral Gifts - Him or Her
A piggy bank for a graduate student to remind them to save money so they can pay back their loans, etc. :)
Case for Flashdrives
It can be difficult for a student to keep track of their flash drives. With this flash drive case they will never lose their flash drive and important information ever again.
Emergency Car Kit - For Graduates that are Moving Out of State
You never know what can happen on the road so better safe than sorry. Giving someone an emergency car kit can a be a life-saver! Things you'll need in your kit are:
Some extra CASH such as quarters, fives, ones, and tens.
Energy Bars, various snacks that won't perish quick such as beef jerky, water bottle, socks, emergency poncho, emergency blanket, empty tin can, matches, fire starter, whistle, flares, Led flashlight with batteries, LED headlamp with batteries, candles, car phone charger, sunscreen, chapstick, toilet paper, small garbage bag, hand-sanitizer, baby wipes, first aid kit, comb, backpack, pocket knife, duct tape, leather gloves, folding shovel, jumper cables, rope or cord, sewing kit, notepad and mechanical pencil.
Graduation Cups & Mugs
Cute and every time they use these cups, it will remind them of the time they graduated.
A GPS device will help graduate students know where they are going or if they have to do some traveling out of state.
A collage of family or pets on a blanket will be a brilliant gift. Collage blankets/quilts can be made at Walmart. Collage blankets are awesome gifts because you can customize them they way you want, choose which pictures you want, etc.
