Gift Ideas for Best Friends
"Best friends are like one soul sharing in two bodies"
My best friend and I have known each other since middle school. Although we live a million miles away, we always try our best to keep in touch, whether it be through text messages, phone calls, emails or letters. Last month I wanted to send her something special. Something that would thank her and remind her of our great friendship. While browsing online for HOURS (I'm a little picky when it comes to gifts), I came across a lot of wonderful gift ideas for a friend that I would love to share. Hopefully this can help make shopping for a special friend a whole lot easier.
Willow Tree Figurines
I fell in love with the Willow Tree Figurines as soon as I laid my eyes on them. I knew I had to get my best friend one.
Susan Lordi is the creator of these beautiful figurine sculptures. She is such an amazing artist! Believe it or not, Susan Lordi carves each original sculptor, then pieces are cast from her original carving in resin and individually painted by hand.
I love the fact that these figurative sculptures are faceless because you get to decide in your mind (and heart) the face of the sculpture and the expression they are giving. This makes it more personal.
Mugs make great gifts because each one tells a story. These mugs will let the world know that your BFF has a great friendship. And don't worry if he or she doesn't drink coffee or tea. Mugs can be used for decorative purposes as well. For example, it can be displayed on a desk and used for office supplies or placed in the kitchen with a couple of fresh daisies.
Friends Now and Forever Figurine
This is another favorite gift of mine. It is a statue of two friends with their arms around their shoulders. The back of the statue you will find the words, "Friends now and forever". This item is hand-painted, polished and made of high quality cold cast resin. The details are amazing!
One of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and to be understood.— Lucius Annaeus Seneca
Friendship Picture Frames
Frame your favorite photos of the two of you and give it to your BFF as a gift. Memories always make the best gifts.
Candles not only come in handy when lighting is needed but they can also make for a great decor option.

The Claddagh Symbol
Ever wondered what that popular Irish symbol with the two hands wearing a crown and holding a heart was? That, my friend, is the Claddagh symbol. The meaning behind the symbol is what makes this a great gift for a friend. It symbolizes friendship, love and loyalty. The heart symbolizes love, the hands mean friendship and the crown represents loyalty.
Friendship throws usually have a special poem or message written on them. But throw blankets are not always used for warmth. Your BFF can hang one on a wall as a decorative display or use as a pretty bed cover.
Wearing bracelets have become a big fashion statement. If your best friend loves wearing bracelets, then these friendship bracelets would make for a great gift.
Best Friends Half Heart Necklace
Half heart necklaces has always been a very popular gift idea for a friend. You get to wear one half of the heart, while your friend wears the other. Put them together and they spell BEST FRIENDS.
Best Friend Cell Phone Cases
Who doesn't have a cell phone nowadays? A case for your cellphone is always a must. If your best friend doesn't like jewelry, you can always give her a cell phone case instead. And just like the broken heart necklaces above, you can give one case to your BFF and keep the other for yourself. You can also find single cell phone cases that have a special message and even good friends charms for your cellphones.
