Grab Bag Gifts for Kids

Updated on September 10, 2014

Is your child involved in any type of a grab bag?

Are you looking for something for your child to purchase for a grab bag gift for someone?

During most of my childhood years, I remember that in our school, usually elementary levels, we were asked to bring in a grab bag towards the holidays.

The teacher would arrange a table in front of the classroom and we were to purchase (with the help of our parents of course), a gift for our gender for a certain amount of cost.

It was always a very exciting day for all of us, waiting for the surprise that we were to receive, and to see who was to get the gift that we chose for someone else ourselves! It was always a big party day just happening before the winter break before school let out for the holidays. The children in the class would take turns choosing a gift from the grab bag.

Here are some ideas for choosing grab bag gifts for the kids.

Ideas for 5 year old Girls & Boys

5 year old girls are so sweet and always easy to find something for. Here are some cute suggestions to make it even easier. They especially always love to be creative, plus they love to play dress up and wear cute girly jewels like Mom.

5 year old boys can be rough and tough, and there's so much to choose from. My 5 year old niece and nephew led me to these suggestions!

Grab Bag Gift ideas for 6 year old Girls & Boys

I remember being 6! Such a monumental time in a little girl's life. Just started first grade and into the big school, we all wanted to be just like the older girls, we played dress up all the time and wanted to wear make up and nail polish. We played many games together as well. Did mucho craft projects. Just a sweet time to remember. Make those memories for the little girl you need to but a gift for as well.

Now the 6 year old boys.... I won't say what I can remember about them!! But I do cherish the memories of my boys at 6, and here are some great recommendations for your 6 year old boy gifts!

Grab Bag ideas from eBay

eBay is a great place for gifts for anyone. There is a great stock of different age group and ideas for gifting for children on there.

Ideas for 7 year old Girls & Boys

7 year old girls are starting to be "Little Women" lol, they are starting to act more like a Mommy, they are acting like little ladies and want to be 7 going on 37!!! Playing grown up and house :)

7 year old boys are still rough and tough, they have vivid imaginations, are very crafty and smart. They want to create pretty much anything they can, and can get into "trouble" if you don't keep them busy busy busy!!! LOL

HedBanz Game

This game is one of the cutest games you can buy for a child's Grab Bag gift.

Last year I had asked my niece what she wanted for Christmas. She kept mentioning this game, but I couldn't find it!

I got lucky and found it for her on Amazon. We got to play the game with her and it was such fun!

It's great for boys or girls, and it's for 7 years old and up. Even us adults have a real blast with this game. When it says for 7 and up its way up because us adults love it so much! This game is good for 2 to 6 players.
