Halloween Baby Bump
Dressing up Your Bump!
I had so much fun last year painting my baby bump! People fell in love with it when they came trick or treating. My goal was to do a girl pacman and even though it didnt look professional I enjoyed painting it. I didnt want to do a classic pumpkin, so as I was looking for ideas for my bump costume, I found that "Gestational Art" is becoming very popular and what better holiday to do it but Halloween. Halloween gives you the freedom to try things that you may not otherwise try. I want to use this lens to encourage you mommies to be to have fun this Halloween. I'll show you pictures of other baby bump costumes and direct you to those websites for even more ideas. I almost wish I had a bump this year to paint...almost.
Pac Man? - Halloween 2010
My sister, her friend and I were dying laughing as I painted my bump. I even added little hairbows on the side.
Bump on the Road
This picture was an entry to the Parents.com competition, but I've also seen this idea in other sites.
A lot of face painters have taken Bump painting too! This was in an article in the examine.com. I thought it was cute and creative.
Just so you know
If you are wondering what kind of paint you can use for this project, regular facepaint will do fine and they are non-toxic. Also other cool ideas I've seen are;
1. Bun in the oven
2. Baseball Player
3. Fish Bowl
4. Eight Ball
5. Bowling Ball
6. The World
7. Jigsaw Puzzle
8. Fetus in Womb
9. Soccer Player
10. And I would like to see an Angry Bird!
Just remember to have fun and Halloween is not the only time to do some belly art. You might want to do this for Easter , Fourth of July, Christmas or even for your babyshower. If you have other children, go ahead, include them in the fun. Pregnancy is a beautiful time in our lives so cherish it and enjoy it to the fullest!
The Baby Corner - Have great ideas of what costumes to use
I definetly would have never thought of this one!
The famous Pumpkin
Of course the famous pumpkin must be done! This is a favorite for everyone. Along with a watermelon, ladybug and a baketball.
