Halloween Candles for a Spooky Decor!

Updated on July 2, 2014

Candles are a great way to decorate for Halloween!

Set the mood for Halloween or Autumn with beautiful candles. You can buy them or you can be creative and make some creepy candles yourself! I, personally like to create fun, lighthearted Halloween decor! I made the Halloween Jackolantern votive you see to the left with just that in mind.

A fun and easy recycled coffee can craft for kids to make is a candle-lit lantern. For this craft you will need a coffee can, a marker, a hammer, a screw driver or big nail, a candle and a pattern in mind for Halloween. You may also want to place a little water in the bottom of the can before you place the candle in it to make it safer.

Help kids use the marker to draw a pattern on the coffee can, but remember to only use dots for your pattern. Then use the screw driver and the hammer to bang holes into the coffee can; it is helpful to have the coffee can held in a clamp or braced between to heavy items so it does not move.

After you have punched all of the holes into the can you can put a candle in it and watch it glow! This recycled coffee can craft is a fun way to make lawn decorations with your kids; and halloween is the perfect time to decorating your lawn for this fun time of year.

If you purchase just one candle for Halloween, let it be this one! - Fill your home with the scent of autumn!

I must admit, I love, love scented candles. I especially love candles that smell like autumn. The candle shown here is not just for Halloween, however. It can be used until Thanksgiving. Think about buying this one.

The Nest Pumpkin Chai Candle is only available for a limited time this Fall. The scent is a blend of wild pumpkin, spicy masala chai, cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon.

The candle is poured in a brown translucent glass with a blush orange wax. Again, please note that this is a limited edition one time pour and will sell out quickly. Please place your order soon for this limited edition autumn fragrance.

For the Halloween Beaded Candle Craft, you will need:

The Flameless Candle would be a great and safe alternative for this Halloween Candle.

For the Halloween Bloody Candle Craft you will need:

This looks like an easy candle to make. Use old tapers if you have them. Bet you might have a red candle or two on hand as well. Bring some sand back from the beach if you have the room in your trunk!

If you have any suggestions for more Halloween Candle Decorating ideas or crafts, please feel free to share them here.

Thanks for stopping by! And have a Boo-tiful Halloween.

The coffee can lanterns are pretty. They could be used any time of year. The dripping blood candles are cool but really creepy!! Lovely lens.

My nephew makes candles and designed a great one for last halloween - multi-layered thing with mini bats through out! Nicely done on the lens.
