Halloween Fun with Mommy
Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year! From dressing up to decorating, to baking, to going to fall festivals; there's always lots of fun to be had at Halloween. One of my favorite things to do at Halloween is to do crafts with my daughters and grand-daughters.
Here's one that my daughter, Janna and her little girl, Bree did just last year - a Halloween Gingerbread House! These are so cute, and they're so much fun to decorate. Best of all, it's a great project for Mommy and daughter to do together. There's nothing quite like spending time with your family. So, when I ran across this little treasure, I knew I just had to get it for them.
Sometimes these are already assembled, and sometimes you have to do some minor assembly yourself. Just mix up the icing, and spread it on. Oh! Be sure to lick the fingers every now and then. :) Then start adding all of the little goodies that come with this kit. There's plenty of little candies for you to decorate with. Little colorful bead candies can be used as trim for your "haunted" house. Then there's usually some type of jelly candies, and sometimes even little candy corns.
The kit comes with instructions on how to do everything, but it's much more fun to use your own imagination and just decorate your house however you'd like. I believe this kit actually came with a little ghost and some bats, but as you can see below, my two added some little windows and a door to their little house. And perfect? No, but who cares, it's all about having fun!
Whatever you do, you're sure to have fun decorating your own Halloween Gingerbread House! It also makes a great decoration if you don't eat it first!
