What's Your Favorite Halloween Symbol?
There are many iconic symbols connected to Halloween. Which of the following symbols is your favorite?
You've seen all the bat paper plate projects on this page and I bet you cannot wait to make one for yourself. Gather up your crafting supplies and get ready to make some fun Halloween decorations. Your home is going to look great with all these bats hanging around. The best part about these craft projects is they are easy, they are cheap, and they look great...I know that's three things...but they are all part of the best part.
You get to decide which bat project you make, or you can make them all if you like. Gather your supplies first, this way you can complete your project without interruption.
The large paper plate is usually the body of your bat.
The bat wings can be made by cutting a paper plate in half and cutting the bottom edge to make it look like a wing, or you can cut the wing from some black construction paper.
The bat's eyes can be made by gluing googly eyes onto the body of your bat, or you can cut oval pieces of white construction paper and make pupils with a marker.
Black yarn can be used to hang the bat paper plate craft in your home.
If you want to make a vampire bat just add some fangs. You can make them with white crayon or with some white construction paper cut out to look like vamp fangs.
Bats have small ears. You can cut the ears from black construction paper, they are usually triangle shape. Then you just glue the paper triangles to the top of your bat body. You can also cut the top of your paper plate to make two ear like triangle shapes.

Handprint Paper Plate Bat Craft
I love handprint craft ideas. These simple and easy to make crafts become treasures as your children grow.
You will need a small paper plate in black. You can use a white plate and paint it black.
Trace your child's handprints onto a piece of black construction paper and cut them out. Glue the hands on each side of the painted plate to make the wings.
Draw or glue eyes on the bat and glue some triangle ears on. If you want to use paper to make your eyes, cut out round or oval shapes from white construction paper. Draw black circles in the center of each to make a pupil. Then cut out triangle shapes from black construction paper and glue them to the top of your bat body. You can also glue googly eyes to create the bat face.
Bat Paper Plate Craft Supply Ideas
When you are making Halloween bat paper plate crafts you don't have to use the usual materials. You can choose a square shape paper plate rather than a round one. You can use orange and purple instead of black. You can use pretty Halloween ribbon decorated with colors or iconic Halloween symbols to decorate your batty paper plates...be creative, be unusual, use your imagination. And most of all, have fun creating these wonderful Halloween decorations.
