Easter Party Decorations

Being that Easter is in the spring, I recommend pastel colors including pink, yellow and green. Pink is for bunnies, while yellow is for baby chicks and green is for fresh grass.
If you want to decorate on a budget, then go to your local dollar type style. They may or may not have so called Easter decorations, but they should have tableclothes, paper plates, napkins, etc. in spring colors.
You might also check there for balloons. At the dollar store I go to I can get helium balloons for only a dollar apiece.

Easter Party Supplies

This is a cute party kit. It comes with 24 napkins and plates along with 36 Easter tattoos. Great for a larger party group or classroom.
Easter Paper Plates

These would go nicely with a pastel color. Don't you love how cheery these are?

If you're planning an Easter egg hunt, these plates would work quite well.

Think of the joy this happy bunny can bring to kids.
Don't forget the napkins and cups!

Easter Centerpiece

If you want to keep it simple, you can merely fill an Easter basket with plastic eggs and use it as your centerpiece. You could also place a large stuffed bunny in the middle of the table.
Otherwise, I would suggest an inexpensive paper centerpiece. This way it's kid friendly and you don't have to worry about anything breaking.

Choose this centerpiece if you like things sparkly.
Easter Party Food

I would suggest setting up a simple buffet with foods that go with an Easter theme. Suggestions include baby carrots with Ranch dressing, fresh fruit salad, stuffed eggs and an assortment of sandwiches. (Be sure to include some ham.)
If you want to do something extra fun, use a bunny cookie cutter to cut the sandwiches into the shape of a bunny.

Easter Cupcake Ideas

For dessert, I've always liked to serve cupcakes. As they're handheld, you don't have to worry about additional plates and utensils. If you like to bake your own, I have some recipes below you can check out.

Easter Party Game Ideas

There are so many fun games kids can play at an Easter party. How about a spoon and egg race? I suggest using plastic eggs, unless you want to have the icky effect when kids drop raw eggs. (Some kids would probably love this.)
Have an egg relay race. Divide kids up into teams with equal members on each team. Kids gather at the start line spaced apart. The first person tosses the egg to the second person, then goes to the other end of the line.
The second person tosses the egg to the third person, then runs to the other end of the line. Keep going until one team catches an egg at the finish line. If an egg gets dropped, the whole team must go back to start line and begin again.
If a lawn area is available, have a sack race. Kids can use pillowcases. Of course the highlight of the games should be an Easter egg hunt.

Easter Egg Decorating Ideas

Decorating Easter eggs is a great party activity and there are lots of fun Easter egg decorating kits available. However, if you don't want the mess, an alternative is to give kids plastic Easter eggs and Easter stickers.
They can decorate the eggs and you don't have to worry about a messy clean up. I suggest that if you are doing an Easter egg hunt, use plastic eggs, then kids can decorate them afterwards.

Photo with Easter Bunny
If at all possible, a photo with the Easter bunny could be a real hit with kids. However, since this is such a busy time of year for him, he might not be available for your party.
Here's a fun alternative. Let each child have a picture taken with this blow up Easter bunny, then make sure everyone gets a copy of their photo. It's a great keepsake.
Easter Goody Bags
I always like to give out goody bags at the end of a party. There are so many fun options for Easter. It's tempting to only fill them with candy, but I like other options as well.
Consider a combination of small chocolate Easter eggs with some toys or other items. The candy will disappear right away, but the kids can continue to play or use everything else. Here are some bag and item ideas.
Kids love to color. Click the arrow below for some free printable Easter coloring pages.
