Simple And Cheap Kids Crayon Costumes

Updated on September 10, 2014

The Costume I Remember Most Wearing As A Child

When looking back at my childhood years though different Halloweens I can remember a few Angel costumes, a clown costume and even a Little House On The Prairie Costume, but my most memorable costume was the red crayon.

I am not sure what fascinated me about the red crayon but I was not much for monsters or fictional characters, but my eyes lighted up when I found out my mom was making a red crayon costume for Halloween. The costume was made out of cotton and felt material with a tie on hat, at the time I thought it was made just for me.

To my surprise and temporary let down my older sister got to be the crayon that year and I was a clown instead. But the following year I was defiantly the red crayon. I looked forward to it all year long and wore the costume with pride.

The red Crayon costume caught my attention but I think I would have also liked the green Crayon. What Crayon costume would have you liked the best?

Retro Crayon Pattern From the 1980s

Just had to smile when I saw this pattern on Amazon. While I can not be for sure this pattern looks awful similar to the pattern my mom used to make the red crayon costume she made when I was a little girl.

@ChrissLJ: Lol, I know I was so jealous. I wanted to be one, I had to wait a whole year for hand-me downs. :)
