Large Button Photo Phones for the Elderly
Make staying in touch with an elderly loved one just a bit easier with photo phones
I was my elderly Mom's caregiver for the past 5 years - she lived with me and died with me in my home in Feb 2012. She and Dad lived alone in Arizona until he died in 2005 at the ripe old age of 89. I often had a hard time getting a hold of them on the phone - they never seemed to return my calls. It wasn't until Mom moved in with me that I realized that it was just too difficult for her to dial a phone. A photo phone would have fixed that dilemma!
A photo phone allows one to just touch a pictures of friends and family which are assigned to speed dial buttons. The elderly only need to press the button with the picture of whom they want to call. And, voila! A much easier way for your favorite senior citizen to place a call. Some photo phones even amplify or work well with hearing aids.
Photo phones aren't really just for the elderly although this would be a great gift for an Alzheimer patient as pictures are easier for them to process than a telephone number. Anyone on your Christmas list would probably love one. So, be nice and maybe Santa will bring you your own photo phone.

Not a photo phone but a nice amplifying phone
Reviews of this amplifying phone love that it's so easy to set up and use. Adjusting volume and tone is a breeze also. This model does not have an answering machine included.
This amplifying phone amplifies incoming sound up to 50+dB. Additionally, you'll be able to hear even the softest voiced elderly loved one as this phone amplifies their speech up to 15 dB. There's 4 tone setting and an extra loud ringer with adjustable tones.
As I mentioned previously, I would have loved to have given my elderly parents one of these photo phones - it would have made it easier for them to lived independently although they did pretty good, living alone at 89 and 90 years of age.
I'd love to hear any comments you may have.
