Thank you for adding my mug here... I am not left handed, but my sister is, which is what prompted me to make my mug. In fact I'll send her a link to this lens :)

Lovely lens! Like the national holiday, I was born in 1976, to two left-handed parents. But somewhat surprisingly to them, I turned out to be right-handed. Do you know something about the genetics of handedness?

I'm a 'Leftie', and proud of it! In my family of 4 sibs, two of us are left-handed. It's been an interesting challenge over the years coping in a 'right-handed' world and being told I do everything 'backwards'...LOL. But, have you ever noticed that ONLY left-handed people notice other left-handed people immediately! Right-handed people either never notice, or think there is something 'odd' about the way you are writing/eating, etc., but don't know what it is! Lefties Rule -- the rest are in another world! And, only 'Lefties' are in their 'right mind'. :-)I didn't know we (Lefties) had a 'National Day'. Think I'll call my brother on the 13th so we can celebrate!

My husband and two of my grandchildren are left handed. It can really be difficult to teach someone with a different handedness hands-on tasks such as crocheting. My experience is that most of the 'lefties' I know are very intelligent, witty, and fun.

I'm left handed myself, and suffered quite a bit as a child when my mom and grandma were bent on "reteaching" me to eat the right-hand way. I'm so glad lefties are more understood nowadays...

I went with my daughter to explore some of her college classrooms; the desks on the left isle were made for left handed people.

This was interesting! My daughter, when very young, used her right hand extensively until she went to visit a relative who insisted that she use her left hand only for the time she visited there. 1 week. The reason, they told me later, was that they thought she should learn to use both hands. Now, she is LEFT handed. I was very upset when this happened but now I have learned to accept it for what it was, an unfortunate mistake. I am not against lefthandedness but I realize that it has its difficulties. I appreciate that lefties can live with this and that there are adjustments made for them now in schools and with instruments and other products .. but if I had my druthers, I'd druther my daughter was righthanded.

Wow, so interesting! I didn't know many of the left handed facts. When I was growing up in Russia everyone was forced to be right handed at school, I don't think I have ever seen a left handed person until I arrived to US.
