Loving Family Dollhouse

Updated on February 19, 2014

Are you Looking for the Perfect Gift for a Little Girl?

A dollhouse can give many hours of playtime delight and it helps the child to develop their imagination.

There is nothing quite so wonderful for a grandparent as to see their grandchild really excited about a gift that they receive. My granddaughter, Kate , just turned 3 and we got her the Loving Family Dollhouse. It was the first present that she opened and when she saw it she said "dollhouse, dollhouse" She was so excited she found it hard to open her other gifts. She couldn't wait to play with it.

She is now almost 5 and this is still one of her favorite toys. She now shares it with her sister Emily who is 3 and together they have hours of fun pretending with the little people and animals.

Loving Family Grand Dollhouse - hours of playtime fun

Here is the dollhouse that we got for Kate. It is a Victorian style pink house with 4 large rooms. It was very easy to put together. When we took it out of the box we only had to snap on a few of the outside pieces but the main part was all put together.

One great feature is the way it folds up when the child is finished playing. All of the furniture will fit inside and you lower to side panels and close the dollhouse. You can then easily put it away until the next playtime.

This dollhouse comes with four figures, a mom, dad, and twin babies. It also comes with a dining room table, two chairs and 2 booster seats. Other furniture can be purchased separately.

Dollhouse provides hours of fun for you girls.

Furniture for Loving Family Dollhouse - lots of furniture available

Here is a photo of Kate playing with her dollhouse. She received several gift sets of furniture for the dollhouse and spent house of time putting the furniture in the dollhouse.

Grandma tried to help her put the furniture in the right rooms, but it seems that a 3 year old has a mind of her own. And who are we adults to say a swingset doesn't go in the kitchen? After all, this was Kate's dollhouse.

Loving Family Laundry Room - comes with dogs and accessories

This is one of the furniture sets that Kate received for her birthday. She loves her dogs, so I thought dogs for the dollhouse would be good too! Along with the laundry room appliances, this set came with a dog and a set of dog feeding dishes.

Children love to make believe.

Kitchen Accessories

Kate really enjoyed playing with the kitchen furniture. The refrigerator door opened and it came with some food to put on the inside. There was a teakettle on the stove and the cooktop made whistling and boiling sounds. There was also a kitchen timer that made a sound. I was amazed at the clever features on such little pieces.

Stimulates Imagination

Here Kate is playing with the swingset which she has sitting in the upper story room. I always wonder what goes through her mind as she plays. One time I saw her laying on the floor holding the little wagon in the air. When I asked her about it she said it was a flying wagon. What a delightful imagination!

The great thing about the dollhouse is that it gives a child the tools to stimulate while still leaving room to the imagination. It is a great way for them to spend hours in their own little world. It is also a great way to interact with children. You can quietly watch them and then ask a simple question or two. You may be surprised at the answers.

Dollhouse Outdoor Playset - for the dollhouse yard

This play-set was Kate's favorite part of the dollhouse. When she went to bed the first night she wanted to take the swing set with her. This set comes with the swings, a slide, doghouse, wagon and two people. It also has a dog and a liter of puppies.

Bathroom for Doll House - hours of pretend

A beautiful Victorian house needs a bathroom too and this bathroom set certainly fits the bill. It has a real spa setting with a tub, vanity, toilet and towel rack It even has soft towels and a rug that come with it.

My daughter had an older version of the Loving Family dollhouse as a hand-me-down, then we got her some of the furniture sets. Lots of fun! She's not into dollhouses any more, so we shared it with my friend's daughter who is WAY into dollhouses right now. It's a wonderful set for young kids, and the one in my church's toddler room gets played with constantly. Great lens!

We gave my nephew a football outfit and he didn't take it off for a week. His parents had to bargain on which piece would get washed daily. Kate sure looks like she loves her new gift. A great choice I can see.
