Magic Santa Key
When There's No Chimney, Santa Needs a Magic Key
When Santa first began delivering gifts all over the world many hundreds of years ago, nearly every house had a chimney to keep warm. But now electric heating has made chimneys obsolete in many homes. So how can Santa get into these houses to deliver the gifts?
The solution is easy. All you need is a magic Santa key. The key won't work for anyone but Santa. You simply leave it outside, and when Santa Claus arrives, he uses his Christmas magic to make it open the lock. Then he slips inside, delivers the gifts (or coal, if you've been naughty!) and leaves the key until next year. (You didn't expect him to carry millions of keys on his sleigh, did you?)

Pick Your Magic Santa Key - Which one will help St. Nick get in your house?
If you choose to buy a key to help Santa Claus get in your chimney-less home, you'll have a variety of choices. Most come with a ribbon to hang the key on your front doorknob so Santa can find it easily. Some come with poems about how the key works. Others have keepsake boxes for storing the key during the year. Below are some keys you can buy on Amazon. You can also get Santa keys at some sites offering Santa letters, such as Santa's Official North Pole Mail.
This metal key has a cloisonne finish and comes with a letter to Santa Claus inside story book box.
This beautifully crafted key is made in the USA by Wendell August Forge, the nation's oldest and largest forge.
In this book and gift set, Andy learns "All Things Are Possible When You Believe." Includes a pewter key with red ribbon.
Make A Key for Santa Claus
Just add a magic Santa key poem
Rather than purchasing a Santa key online, you can also make one at home. All you need is a key and a magic poem, such as the free printable magic Santa key poem available at Santa Letter Templates.com.
The short poem can be printed out on a piece of paper and attached to a key. You can use any key, although vintage-looking keys or skeleton keys work best. If you're using a regular key, you might want to attach a Santa Claus key ring to the key to make it look more festive. You can also use a piece of red ribbon to attach the poem to the key and leave room to loop it over a doorknob.
