I am constantly amazed and impressed by the cake making efforts of people all over the world! Some cakes are just so mindblowingly incredible and amazing that you almost can't believe they're cakes!!
So here I've gone on an internet journey to find the most beautiful My Little Pony cakes I could find by some really talented cake decorators (and I thank them for permission)

And here's a GIANT cupcake cake for all those fans of Cupcakes! - I love the yummy looking frosting don't you!?
This cake and giant cupcake in one was for a little girl's 3rd birthday. She wanted a My Little Pony themed "cupcake" cake. The creator's added the bottom layer since it needed to feed 25+ people and the cupcake wouldn't have been enough. Yellow cake on the bottom layer, strawberry cake for the cupcake and strawberry meringue buttercream for the cupcake's frosting. - YUM!
And this is how it's made - With a Wilton Giant Cupcake Baking Tin - Couldn't be EASIER! :)

The Body and Head are cake... the legs are rice krispie treats!
The inner support structure is built from wood. Courtney used a jigsaw to cut out the shape that would support the body, kind of a peanut shape. Then she cut out another shape that would be the support for the head. She sketched out a rough shape on the wood before cutting. Fairly thick wooden dowels were used to connect the pieces. 4 long dowels for the legs, screwed onto a wooden base, and then attached to the body support. Then a shorter dowel to connect the body head support piece. The head support was not attached till after the body and neck were covered in fondant. Usually the underneath of the support boards need some kind of padding to round out the underbelly.
