Curl up with a bowl of corn chips!

National Corn Chip Day is January 29 according to Holiday Insights. First off, they emphasize that National Corn Chip Day is purely a made-up holiday--but I say, aren't they all? Naional Corn Chip Day came into being because someone simply said so.

National Corn Chip Day celebrates the Corn Chip. Fifty years ago, few Americans knew what Corn Chips were. Today, most American can not imagine life without this tasty, crunchy holder of salsa, cheese and (mostly) mexican dips. Its even sprinkled atop salads, making salads even more crunchy.

Holiday Insights challenges corn chip lovers to enjoy corn chips all day long on National Corn Chip Day. They ask true corn chip lovers to "enjoy eating one of your favorite snacks. And, take our Corn Chip corn chips for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks today!"

Fritos are the only chips that I take when we are traveling. There is nothing like watching the miles go by while munching on some Fritos, corn chips.

I remember the first time I ever tasted a corn chip and I enjoy them as much today as I did then. I also remember a Halloween in the 60's where a friend of mine and her boyfriend dressed as a bag of Fritos and the Frito Bandido.
