Ninja Party Invitations

When it comes to making a first impression - you know how the old saying goes...you only get one chance. That is why it is crucial that your invitation shows your potential party guest exactly what your party is all about. This benefits you in two specific ways. One, your party guest will get the opportunity to get excited about coming to the party. And two, this allows your guest to be creative themselves - buying your son a gift that matches your theme.

There are a few different ways you can go with invitations. You can order the themed fill-in-the-blank kind, you can order customizable invitations from online stores like Etsy, or you can design and create your own if you are the crafty type. Whatever you choose, make sure you put all the party particulars on the invite - especially a way to contact you to RSVP for the party!

When you think of a Ninja, what colors come to mind? If you answered black, white and red - you would be 100% right although grey comes in a close fourth. These colors are probably the most popular when it comes to party supplies for Ninja parties. However, if you are throwing a Lego Ninjago party, then your color scheme will be totally different to match the show's characters. But for now, let's just talk about plain, old ninjas I don't get off track.

Your decorating can be as flexible or as complicated as you want it to be. If you want to do very little crafty decorating yourself, you can go out and buy red, white and black party supplies or you can even pick up Ninja birthday party supplies online. They sell kits that include everything you need to pull off an amazing party from the invitations to the candles for your cake.

If you want to do more of the decorating yourself, then hold on to your Samurai swords...and check out some amazing and crafty ideas below you can do for your party that won't break the bank.

Ninja Party Food Ideas

If you want to really kick up your theme, why not plan the food you serve at the party so it matches? For example, why not serve Chinese food at your party? Or, maybe sushi is more your style. Then again, if you are planning a party for younger guests, their palates probably aren't accustom to such sophisticated foods.

So what do you do? In this case, you serve things that little fingers can eat. Little hot dogs wrapped in dinner rolls can make Ninja Dogs! Pretzel rods dipped in chocolate and connected with red Twizzlers can make great Ninja Nun-chucks! Or you make your own rice krispy sushi like the photo to the left shows. Use your imagination. The food doesn't need to be ethnic to be a hit, just make sure you creatively name your dishes.

Just as importantly as the types of foods you serve is how you choose to display them for your guests. Typically Asian dishes are served on small, square plates. However, you can get away with party colored plates too if you want. But, how you lay out your serving table is an art all in itself. Here are some great ideas that I found online of people who have really gone over the top when it comes to the art of food display.

Ninja Cakes and Cupcakes

This is always a big debate; should you make a cake or cupcakes? The truth of the matter is that the answer lies in the age of your party guests. If you are inviting young guests (under 8), cupcakes are a better option. This is because smaller hands find it easier to grasp a cupcake -vs- eating with a fork. Older guests? Opt for the cake.

Want some great ideas to get your creative juices flowing? Below are some amazing cake and cupcake ideas I found online at various blogs and websites (which I'll credit). If you find something that inspires you, print off a copy of a picture and take it to your local bake shop. They should be able to replicate it!

Ninja Goodie Bags and Boxes

Now that the party is over, it's time to say goodbye to your guests. Never let them leave empty handed! Just like your invitation is a first impression, your goodie bag is the lasting impression of your party. So, make sure that you give age appropriate and theme specific (whenever possible) goodie boxes and bags to your guests as they are getting picked up. Also, here's a tip that I learned a long time ago when my oldest was smaller. Make sure you put a 'thank you for coming to my party' note inside the bag that includes your child's name AND phone number on it. This makes it easy for the parents to set up a future play date with you.

Make sure you leave a comment below and let me know what you thought of my page! I'm hoping that you found something here that is going to set your party apart from all the rest. Best of luck to you!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!
