Ms. Monae is always looking for the best affordable products that deliver on what they promise. Gifts and such that make you smile. :)

My Fav's 2014

Do you love Oprah? Do you love her Favorite Things list? I've compiled a short list of Oprah's Favorite Things 2014. Here you can find each item that made her list. Oprah does not play so each and every item on this list is the real deal. I didn't include her reasons for picking each item because that would take all day and all night. You know how Oprah is when she starts talking about her favorite things. It doesn't matter anyway, this is not about Oprah. This is my top 5 list of her favorite things. I'm just glad she did all the leg work for me. I'm just playing, this list is down right fabulous. This year I'm shaking my head over only a couple of these items and how they made the list. All I know is if it's on this list, Oprah likes it and millions of her fans do too.

My Top 5 of Oprah's Favorite Things
My Top 5 of Oprah's Favorite Things

#1 "What I Know For Sure" by Oprah Winfrey

Yes I'm a fan of almost everything she writes. Everyday of my life I've made it a mission to be my best self. From Joel Osteen, to Deepak to Oprah, I love their life lessons and the way they present them. Oprah's perspective on life is very similar to my own. We live in two different worlds, but have a lot in common. She hasn't forgotten her journey to get where she is. She hasn't forgotten her struggle and remembers every step taken. You can tell by her writing that she is still a very humble and caring person. Don't blame the world for what's going on in your life. Read Oprah's book "What I Know for Sure", and watch your transition into a better you.

#2 Ivory Mink Couture Hooded Faux Fur Coat

Now this is just Fabulous and not just because Oprah's wearing it on the cover. However it does look good on her. I can feel the warmth emitting through the picture. This hooded faux fur is not the real thing, you know Oprah would never wear the real thing, but it looks like the real thing. This coat is made by Donna Salyers’ Fabulous Furs. It also comes in beautiful mahogany and onyx. This faux fur beauty features a face framing hood and is 31" in length. It has a satin-lined body, a velvet-lined hood and comes in sizes XS to 3x. Marvelous I must say.

#3 The Hundred-Foot Journey

If you haven't seen this yet and are a true foodie with a competitive nature you'll love this movie. Being an all things Chef Gordon Ramsay kinda gal, this was right down my alley. I love movies that pertain to food and cooking but the plot has to be interesting enough to keep my attention. The twist in this movie does just that. I had this one before Oprah picked it and I must say she made a great choice. This is a very entertaining movie for the whole family. Co-produced by the one and only Oprah Winfrey herself.

#4 The Samsung NX Mini Camera

I think this camera is just awesome. Especially for you out of control selfie taking people. I take a few from time to time myself. The Samsung NX Mini camera has some excellent features for sharing your photos. The social media features sound great. Some of it's smart features include: social media upload, email. photo beam, directlink, mobilelink, PC auto back-up, remote viewfinder pro, allshare, and baby monitoring. This is going to be a perfect addition to add to my collection.

#5 The Vitamix S30 Blender

I'm glad this made the list because I'm a health nut. What's better than a good blender? Nothing's better when I'm trying to make my shakes in the mornings or blend up a veggie soup for lunch. This is an excellent pick; however a little on the expensive side. My Vitamix is a less expensive blender, but it's still does a great job. Maybe I'll advance to the S30 one day soon. The Vitamix S30 has a 20 ounce portable container with flip top lid. It has a 40 ounce compact container for small family meals. This blender weighs in at about 5 pounds and comes with a full 5 year warranty.
