What Makes Pillow Pets Dream Lites So Special

Kids all across the country are asking their parents for the Pillow Pets Dream Lites. If you were like me when my kids asked me for them I had no Idea what they were. I then watched tv with them and at almost every commercial break there is a Dream Lites commercial playing their lullaby theme song, and I have to say that they are very cool. They are stuffed animals that project a star filled sky on the ceiling, so if your child uses a nightlight this may be the perfect gift. So if you are new to the world of Dream Lites. As a parent who didn't know what they were I put together this page full of information every parent needs to know about the Pillow Pets Dream Lites.

What makes Dream Lites so special?

Pillow Pets Dream Litesare a great versitle toy for kids. Here are the features that make the Dream Lites animals so special:

Your child can use it for imagination play, and then when they go to sleep it turns into a kid friendly night light.

Once the Dream lite is turned on it illuminates the ceiling of your child's room with a full constellation of stars. These stars brighten up the room like a nightlight, and after 30 minutes it automatically turns off saving the batteries. I found that this auto-off timer feature is great because this means the batteries will last and not burn out in one day.

All of the different Dream Lite animals take three AAA batteries

You can use a wall adapter for Dream Lites so you won't need batteries.

Pillow Pets Dream Lites Green Triceratops - This one is VERY hard to find

The Green Triceratops Dream Lite is one of the rarest ones on the market today. This one you will not find in stores because it has only had a very limited release through certain online retailers. If this is the one you are looking for I highly suggest you pick this one up whenever you see it in stock. Just a know about this one because it is rare there is a premium price associated to it. People have been paying anywhere between $70-$100 for it, so don't expect to find this one for the sticker price.

Pillow Pets Dream Lites Power Adapter - No More Batteries!

If don't want to use batteries in your Dream Lites then you should consider picking up the official Pillow Pets Dream Lites power adapter. It costs less than $10 and you never have to worry about dead batteries again. Just think of the frustration you will save when your child is going to bed, the batteries die (Murphy's law), and they won't sleep without it. Cloud B has been making animals that project stars and glow. Those are really nice.

I must admit they are pretty cool. If I still had kids I'll bet they would love lying in bed looking at these stars.

@anonymous: I agree. The adapter will save you a fortune on batteries. It is the best $10 investment a parent can make.

I love the pillow pet dream lite but do not like the way it uses batteries. I seem to be replacing them every 2 days. So DEFINATELY get adapter if you purchase. It has helped my 4 yr old to sleep in his room more through the night:)
