What lays beyond the closet doors of children's' bedrooms is a whole other world - a world full of MONSTERS! But really, monsters are just like us. The live their lives, go to work, shop, eat, and play. Some of them just happen to be full-time Scarers who work at places like Monsters, Inc., and supply their world with power.
Meet Michael Wazowski and James P. "Sulley" Sullivan - Mike and Sulley - who happen to work the Scarefloor at Monsters, Inc. Things are rough for the Monster world; scaring children is becoming harder and power outages are looming. The world of humans is dangerous and any contact with an item a child might have touched could contaminate the Monster world.
When Sulley discovers a coworker has left a door active but unattended on the Scarefloor, little does he know that a human child has come through that door and is on the loose in the Monster world! Mike and Sulley do their best to keep the secret of Boo and return her to her own world before it's too late. In the process, they discover the deep value of friendship as well as uncover a bigger secret about Monsters, Inc.!
Twelve years after its release, Monsters, Inc. got a sequel, or rather a prequel. Set during the college years of Mike and Sulley, Monsters University shows how these best buddies weren't always best friends. When Mike is accepted as a Scare Student into the prestigious program at Monsters University, he comes up against a slew of challenges.
After a fight between Mike and Sulley, both are expelled from the Scare program. Their only way back is to join the Oozma Kappa fraternity and compete in the annual Scare Games. Can both learn the value of teamwork before it's too late?
