Halloween Party Fun for Everyone

Make your Halloween party even more fun with seasonal party games. Plan a scavenger hunt, relay game, costume competition or good old fashioned apple bobbing. Enjoy the wild laughter when you play blindfold games and doughnut eating challenges - games that appeal to all ages.

You don't need to limit your party games to action and outdoor entertainment. For a more sedate bit of Halloween party fun, play printable party games and activity sheets that let guests sit down with a pencil and relax (chill out) for a bit.

Transform your garden or yard into a spooky playground for goblins and ghosts by creating a haunted graveyard. A haunted house or graveyard is my favorite thing about the season. It's not hard to transform a porch or front yard into a place that will send chills up the spine of most kids and many adults. The darkness helps create mystery so you can add props, spooky music and lighting, and perhaps even a live ghoul or monster to jump out at visitors.

Scavenger Hunt Games for Fright Night Fun

Everyone's Favorite Party Game

Scavenger hunts are fun for all ages, and especially thrilling at Halloween. You can customize your scavenger hunt game to your party guests ages. For small children the hunt can be held indoors or within the back yard. Teens and adults will enjoy a scavenger hunt that permits travel around the neighborhood on foot after dark. If you want to keep the game local, create a haunted graveyard in your back yard and limit searches to the graveyard scene area.

If you're holding the scavenger hunt in the neighborhood, it's a good idea to let your neighbors know the date and time in advance so they won't be alarmed by folks wandering around the block with flashlights.

Bingo Scavenger Hunt - here's a twist on two party game favorites. Create Bingo Cards with pictures of items your game players must find for the scavenger hunt. They can collect the items or take a photograph when they find each one, then mark off their game cards until they have a BINGO.

Fun Halloween Party Games

Group games for kids and adults

Apple Bobbing, Eat a Donut on a String and Costume Contests are favorite activities for Halloween parties for all ages, but there are dozens more games you can play - just look at all these wonderful ideas.

Preschool / Pre K Halloween Games - group games with a learning component, designed especially for preschool children.

Gather in the Harvest is a great mixer and interactivity game to play with a group. Each player must gather fifteen different harvest foods from other players. The first player to completely bring in the "harvest" is the winner.

Spider Web Maze is fun for kids and adults alike. You start with a room strung up with a web made from yarn, and end up with rolls of yarn and an empty room. Use a very long piece of yarn for each player. Tape one end of the yarn so that it resembles the end of a shoestring and tape a piece of paper with a number written on it on the other end somewhere in the room. The number will correspond to a party favor prize or treat.

Graveyard Hunt - decorate your back yard or a spare room to resemble a creepy graveyard. Within the graveyard hide treats and favors. Players must search for the prizes in the dark and haunted space.

Pin the Wart on the Witch Nose, Pin the Head on the Monster, Add the Bones to the Skeleton, Pin the Eye Patch on the Pirate - These games are all similar to the familiar Pin the Tail on the Donkey. All you need is a large picture for your game's theme board, and small pictures that go with the larger one. Players wear a blindfold and try to attach pieces to the large game board, or players answer quiz questions and then add a piece to the picture. In the second version, if a player answers correctly, he or she plays again.

Needle in the Haystack - a simple but fun game for outdoors. Build a pile of hay with "needles' made from foil and lots of candy mixed into the straw. Let kids search through the hay. Winner with most needles gets a small prize. Everyone wins because they gather candy during the search.
