My grandson loves his Rubber Band Bracelet loom. He also loves being patriotic! The local high school's teams are the Patriots, too. Never miss an opportunity, I say. With all the accessories out there for Twistz Bands or Rainbow Looms, one can easily make a red, white and blue bracelet for trading with one's friends on Canada Day or the 4th of July in the USA! Heck, it would even work for the Super Bowl if the team playing has the colors red, white and blue!

YouTube is also full of easy to follow tutorials for making any pattern one needs. Think of looking for the "starburst" ones. If you scroll down the page, I have featured a patriotic pattern video for you.

The image here is of my grandson; he is 8 years old and loves learning new patterns for making his friendship bracelets.

When is more than one loom necessary? When there are brothers and sisters around; some patterns use more than one loom; you might have a friend over who wants to join in on crafting a bracelet.

@Corrinna-Johnson: Red and white! Oh yes. I added Canada Day to the list of patriotic holidays in the article! If you visit my home state and wore a red and white rubber band bracelet, people will think you are for the Crimson Tide of the University of Alabama. Roll Tide.

What a great patriotic craft for kids! My daughter got a rainbow loom for Christmas and because I live in Canada, I just might have her make a red and white bracelet for Canada Day!
