Saint Patrick's Day Party
Saint Patrick's Day for You and Your Family
Saint Patrick's day is a great celebration for everyone of Irish decent and everyone who only wishes they were Irish.
This is a lens for family and friends who want to have wholesome Saint Patrick's day parties. I myself am about a quarter Irish and I love the holiday. My mother's birthday is on that day and she loves the color green and think she gets a kick out of everyone wearing her favorite color on her big day.

Now in Irish tradition it is bad luck to dig around a fairy ring or disturb it in anyway. Many of these legends and myths were actually started to protect family heirlooms, during the worst parts of England's oppressive rein the Irish and Celts would have to abandon their homes, they would bury their gold and jewels in false graves in sometimes in fairy rings. A few years ago a farmer planted potatoes near a fairy ring, when he harvested the potatoes he unearthed a golden bowl encrusted in jewels, priceless when you consider how must history was lost during the it was buried. It is now on display in Ireland.
Some fairy rings spring up naturally and others are circles made of stone, now that you know a bit of the history, you can watch this video that explains the science, it's actually really interesting.
Movies and Music
You can download Celtic music from amazon.com and burn it on to CDs.
The Leap year is a great movie. Anna travels to Ireland to surprise her longtime boyfriend with a marriage proposal. It's an Irish tradition that a woman can ask a man to marry her on a leap year in Ireland. Her Grandmother had asked her grandfather to marry her, she followed him there while he was on a trip to Ireland like Anna is doing now. She enlists the help of an Irish innkeeper named Declan after she accidentally ends up on the wrong side of Ireland. This movie is filled with physical comedy, romance and heart. I rented this for my mother on her birthday and she watched it three times in two days. Stars Amy Adams (Enchanted), Matthew Goode and Adam Scott (Parks and Rec). PG-13
