Scrabble Flash Cubes Game for Teenagers
Need an affordable gift for a teenager? Scrabble Flash Cubes Game for Teenagers is Fun!
If you are looking for an affordable electronic gift for a teenage niece or nephew or for your own teenage son or daughter, then Scrabble Flash Cubes is an excellent option. Based on the well-known Scrabble game, the set of 5 electronic cubes display letters and recognize when words are formed. Points are scored for creating words from the tiles, and there are several variations for interactive and solo play.
I love this concept because it promotes vocabulary building activities. I also like the fact that it can be an interactive game but that a kid can entertain himself or herself when nobody is around. Not every teenager likes word games, though I thrived on them in my teen years. I picked up several of the flash cube games for my own teenagers last year, and they all enjoyed the various titles. My oldest, a bookworm, got Scrabble and loves it.
Scrabble is a great classic game, of course. Electronic versions on social media networks like Facebook have given it a renewed wave of popularity.

Kinesthetic Learning: What does that mean?
Simply put, kinesthetic or tactile learners process things best through hands-on activity. Unfortunately, much of traditional education is aimed at audio and visual methods. It takes a lot of energy to make English or Math lessons hands-on. Games are some of the best tools for this.

Word Games and their benefits: Scrabble Flash Cubes and Other Word Games Have Educational Use
I love the ability to explore words on my own, and from my early years, I was fascinated with crossword puzzles, word searches, and other simple word games. Scrabble is one of the best tactile games that incorporates vocabulary building and spelling. Electronic versions are great because there is an immediate feedback as success is achieved. I love online or iPhone word games, too, and they really challenge me to explore principles of word structure. For my kids, there is the ability to interact. They aren't as fond of Scrabble and word games, liking more math-y things like Sudoku in many cases.
Additional Scrabble and Flash Cubes Games to Consider
If you like the Flash Cubes Scrabble Concept, don't discount the benefit of other word games. There are some excellent choices. There are also several other Flash Cubes titles...I bought them all last Christmas for my teenagers because I love the hands-on nature. Watch for deals...I got mine on sale at Amazon during the holiday season!
This is one of the better non-electronic Scrabble sets for kids, with plastic holding spaces for the tiles (no-slipping so kids can come back and pick up where they left off) and a turn-table for easy moving of the board.
A card based word game for on the go play or for something you can pick up and put down without spending hours.
A great memory game with several play modes. Excellent for hands-on learners.
Perfect for math skills and great fun with a new twist on an old fave.
