Simple Crafts: Easy Toilet Paper Roll Christmas Wreath
Make a Christmas Wreath!
This tutorial is pretty simple and it shows the steps to create a simple Christmas wreath from recycled toilet paper roll cardboard inserts, some pasta and decorations from around your home!
You can decorate this wreath in which ever way you want, just use your imagination and things you have in your home!
Do you recycle toilet paper rolls? - Are they on your list of things to keep for crafts?
Toilet paper rolls - great to reuse or simply trash!?
Prepare your toilet paper rolls!
Cutting and gluing!
First, you have to cut your toilet paper rolls to strips. Make it 1,5 cm wide. You can get approximately 5 strips from one roll and you'll need at least 3 toilet paper rolls to create a wreath base.
After cutting them, glue them together as shown on the photo on the right.
I used clips to fix them until glue is dry.
Add some pasta!
Glue pasta on the inside of the wreath!
You can use multipurpose glue but much better job to fix pasta on the inside of the wreath would be done with glue gun and plastic glue.
You can see on the picture on the right that I've used 2 different types of pasta but you can use what ever you have at home.
I resisted for soooo long impuls to purchase a glue gun and now, that I finally did, I'm wondering why it took me so long?!
Cover it all or just the front side - as you wish!
Now, it's time to spray paint your future wreath. I've used golden spray but you can use which ever color you like.
Make sure not to soak it too much because paper rolls will take up too much of it and become too wet, that could make your wreath loose it's shape.
Yet again, let it dry.
Decorate as you wish and hang it on the door!
Things always good to have around for crafts!
