Snap, Crackle, Pop Costumes (Rice Krispies)
Snap, Crackle, and Pop Costumes - Perfect for a Trio!
Here are costume ideas for dressing up as Snap, Crackle, and Pop, the colorful, cheerful trio from Rice Krispies, the beloved Kellogg's cereal! All three of them have distinct styles, colors, and hats, so it's a very fun costume idea for trios! These three have been around since the early 1930s and they represent the sound your rice bubble cereals make when they hit a bowl of milk. Yummm!
The best part? These costume suggestions are good for both women and men so they offer a lot of versatility
Dress up as Snap - The Chef
Snap's basic costume is patterned after a chef so it's pretty easy to look for all the elements you need. One key piece is your chef's hat, which should have "SNAP" written on it in orange letters. You can either use iron-on leters, sew-on letters, or fabric markers for this quick project. Fabric markers are the easiest because you can just simply write onto your hat!
The other elements include: elf ears, a red handkerchief tied on your neck (like a cowboy), yellow jacket, and blue pants (preferably the skinny kind).
Don't forget to write SNAP on your hat with the fabric markers below!
Write "SNAP" on your chef's hat

Tie around your neck, cowboy style
The picture shows a yellow jacket / chef coat, but you can improvise with a yellow apron instead as it still ties well with the chef personality of Snap. This can be used for men and women!
Crackle's Outfit - The one with the Crazy Hat
The most distinctive aspect of Crackle's costume is his floppy red and white striped hat, which reminds me of an Elf! He has blonde hair, wears a simple light blue button shirt with dark blue jeans, and has a white handkerchief tied on his neck like it was a bow tie.
Finally, he wears red/white sneakers, to tie with the motif of his hat. He has blonde hair.
It just so happens that Crackle has elf ears too!
Write "CRACKLE" on your elf hat!
Pop's Costume - Marching Band Style
The basic look of Pop is based on a marching band member. He wears a red marching band military-like jacket and a marching band hat. His hair is brown.
Pop reminds me of a Nut Cracker (sans the strange nut-cracking mouth of course)
The height of this hat matches the height of Pop's hat! Use the black felt letters below to attach "Pop" on the hat. You can opt to take off the black feather.
Use this to stick "POP" on your hat
Don't forget the elven ears!
You can replace the bottom with just plain blue shorts
You can replace the bottom with just plain shorts or capris
You can also buy just a military jacket and then pair it with blue pants. I saw this great military jacket that would accomplish that look. This is a costume based on Michael Jackson. The King of Pop for a Pop costume, is that mere coincidence? ;)
Choose your Costume!
