Spooky Snack Ideas

So, you're having a Halloween Party! You've got the decorations all done, the games are all set up and ready to go, and now all you need is the...Oh no! You forgot the food!

Not to worry...I've got some great ideas here for you!

From Ghost Sandwiches to Mummy Dogs and everything in between, you're sure to find something here that will satisfy any little ghosts or goblins!

Ghost Sandwiches


White Bread

Cream Cheese (Optional)

Deli Meat

Cheese (Your choice)

Black Olives (Optional)

Ghost-Shaped Cookie Cutters


If you choose to use cream cheese, spread a thin layer on one slice of the bread;

Place a piece of deli meat and cheese on each sandwich;

Using cookie cutter, cut sandwich into the shape of a ghost;

You can either leave the ghost plain, or you can finely chop some black olives and use the pieces for eyes and/or a mouth.

Simple enough, don't you think?

Roll-Up Pumpkins


Flour Tortillas

Light Cream Cheese

Parsley or Celery Leaves



Spread cream cheese on tortilla;

Roll it up;

Cut it into small rolls (See picture);

Use toothpick and either parsley or celery leaf as the stem.

Hot Dogs (Wieners)

Crescent Rolls



Wrap hot dogs in crescent roll slice;

Bake at 375 for approximately 10 minutes (See directions for baking Crescent Rolls on can);

When ready, use mustard to make eyes (optional), or just use the mustard to dip them in!

Devilled Eyeballs


12 hard-boiled eggs peeled

24 green olives with pimento or sliced black olives (Your choice)



Tabasco Sauce




Cut eggs in half lengthwise, and remove yolks;

Mix yolks with mayo, mustard, a few drops of Tabasco Sauce, a sprinkle of salt and pepper;

Mix until you have a smooth, creamy texture;

Spoon mixture into eggs;

Place olive in the center of the egg.

Voila! Devilled Eyeballs!

Candy Corn Fruit Cups


1 can Pineapple Chunks, drained (20 oz.)

1 can Mandarin Oranges, drained (15 oz.)

1 can Whipped Cream

Clear Plastic Cups


In plastic cups, layer in order given, finishing with the whipped cream.

Hershey's Kisses

Keebler Fudge Stipe Cookies

Orange Decorating Icing


Flip fudge cookie over so that chocolate side is facing up;

Put a small circle of orange icing around the hole in the middle of the cookie;

Place Hershey's kiss over the center of the icing.

Rice Krispies Pumpkin Treats


Rice Krispies Cereal

1 Bag of Miniature Marshmallows


Red & Yellow Food Coloring

Tootsie Rolls

Green Icing


Make Rice Krispies treats according to box instructions;

While the marshmallows are still warm and melted, add the food coloring;

Mix well until you have a nice orange "pumpkin" color;

Stir in cereal and mix well;

Spray palms with cooking spray before rolling mixture into balls;

Put Tootsie Roll in the center of each little pumpkin and decorate with green icing for leaves.

Your little goblins will gobble these up in no time!

Monster Punch


1/2 gallon of Lime Sherbet

2 liter bottle of Sprite

Gummi Worms


In a punch bowl, add Lime Sherbet;

Pour Sprite over it;

Hang Gummi Worms from side of punch bowl or cups for a spooky effect.

This is so yummy!

Pumpkin Punch


Pineapple Juice

Orange Sherbet

Orange Crush


Just mix and enjoy!
