Fun Star Wars Party Games

Make your own light sabers - There are a few different ways to make home-made light sabers. One idea is to cut pool noodles and use as the blade and use plastic pipe pieces as the handles. These work great as no one will get hurt during light saber duels!

Asteroid Rock Search - Wrap birthday party favors in tin foil. Hide foil-wrapped prizes throughout the Star Wars birthday party area. Announce that it's time to search for the prize-filled asteroid.

Attack the Droids - Draw droids on the driveway or side walk with chalk. Have the children line up and take turns throwing water balloons to try to "destroy" the droids. You could also pair the children up in teams with squirt guns - first team to "destroy" the droid wins. This can also be done with the death star instead of droids.

Light Saber Training - Pair the kids up and give them a balloon. They have to keep the balloon up in the air only using their light sabers. The team to keep the balloon up the longest wins.

Meteor Shower - Before blowing up balloons (you should have three or four balloons per guest), stuff a small toy or prize inside. Then blow up the balloons and tie closed. Gather the children in the center of the play area. Toss balloon meteors into the middle of the gathering of Star Wars birthday party guests and instruct them to destroy the meteors to uncover the prizes. Toss enough balloons so all the guests have enough meteors to burst.

Hot Potato - Star Wars Style You could use red fabric and make a "Lava Ball" or tin foil for a death star. Play the star wars theme - when the music stops that child is "out".

Pin the Tail on the Donkey - Star Wars Style You can draw a picture of your favorite star wars character and see who can pin light saber on the character's hand.

Love the cakes - especially R2D2. Great idea for a boys birthday party.

I think you should add wall murals to the room to make it appear a complete Star Wars theme party. See Giant Wall Stickers at www.toysandstuff.net for ideas
