Steve Jobs autobiography
Steve Jobs book: an option for gift in Christmas
When I thought about this book as an option for Christmas gift seemed to me maybe I was falling into the cliche of buying it just because it is fashionable. However after reviewing more carefully I found that the book has several important points that make it highly recommended as a gift:
Jobs, the innovator
The most obvious point is as a gift for those geeks and Apple fans in particular. But being honest this time even the least interested in technology has something to do with it: a smart phone, a personal computer, a tablet, software to download music, downloadable applications, etc. Virtually everyone at some point has had some contact with this type of technology, and most importantly of all, has been able to use it in a friendly way without having to be computer expert. In large part this is possible because of Steve Jobs and is therefore very interesting that the fact that we can now touch a screen and access a world of possibilities is due to this man.
Jobs, the leader
The book is also interesting from the point of view of a leader who built a company from the scratch with many talented people to his side but also with diverse interests and personality clashes. An interesting point is that the book is based on several interviews in which Jobs apparently explicitly asked respondents to be the most honest possible even though this honesty could mean say unpleasant things about him. This fact in itself gives this biography a very special documentary value, since would be a balanced view of the reality of a famous figure, which rarely happens.
The Authorized Biography of Steve Jobs - by Walter Isaacson
Jobs, the man
Personal aspects of Jobs life is certainly also another added value of this book. A figure as relevant for its time as was Jobs always causes a curiosity very particular about his behavior in family, personal tastes, his ideology, his religious beliefs and diverse other features that allow others to have a more complete view of the icon and in this case of the legend.
What do you think is the best creation of Jobs?
Isaacson, the biographer
In addition to the above Isaacson is a well known figure in the field of biographies of figures as important as Franklin, Einstein and Henry Kissinger, and as journalist at the Sunday Times, CNN and Time Magazine therefore a biography written by him should be expected as the work of a critical person providing the various facets of a personality like Jobs, not just that of a fanatic fan or a detractor at all costs.
