Stocking Stuffers for College Students - My Favorite Ideas!

Best Christmas Stocking Stuffers for College Students
If your adult children are coming home for the holiday, I'm sure you're looking forward to spending time with them and sharing family Christmas traditions. I hope this page helps you find a couple small gifts that you wouldn't have thought of.
What do college kids want in their stockings? Candy and chocolate and some gift cards are a good start! For a really exciting Christmas stocking, add some unique and super cool gifts that you can really surprise them with. Some of this stuff isn't on their wish list because they didn't think of it. These gifts would all make great stocking stuffers for college students and young adults. They range from tech gadgets to funny stuff.
Classic Memory Game - Mini Size for their Backpack! - Remember Simon from the 1980s?

This can latch onto a backpack, or they can carry it in their purse or pocket. It's the classic memory game, in mini size. Perfect idea for a Christmas stocking.
Hilarious Stocking Stuffer - This Raindeer Dispenser "POOPS OUT" candy!

This is the kind of thing that they will be showing all of their friends.... "Look at what Mom & Dad got me for Christmas!!"
This is definitely a gag gift and a twist on the usual candy stocking stuffer idea.
Small Gadget for Big Connectivity! - If this doesn't appear immediately useful to your student, it will one day!

This enables connectivity with bluetooth devices like bluetooth keyboards and headsets. Bluetooth is becoming the universal method for connecting things wirelessly. However, many computers and laptops don't have built-in bluetooth.
Coal Shaped Candy - Tease them about getting coal in their stocking!

Santa gives coal to naughty boys and girls. But this coal is also a treat!
"That Was Easy" Positive Reinforcement Desk Toy - Fun and Therapeutic!

This is designed to make them laugh... and to encourage them! Sometimes college is hard, and after staying up all night writing that paper, hearing "That Was Easy" might be just the right thing to lighten the moment...
Magnetic Putty - Fun Thing to Experiment With

If they like playing with magnets, they will LOVE this! What a great geeky gift idea!
Travelon RFID Blocking Billfold - Security Wallet ~ Stop Identity Theft!

Most college students have credit cards, and they may have RFID chips in their credit cards which allows them to be read wirelessly. This wallet keeps their credit cards protected and reduces their risk of identity theft.
Luggage Tags for their Suitcase - Something Practical....

This will make the airport baggage claim easier to manage. Buy them the tags with their initials on them.
Screaming Monkey Flingshot - Toy for Grown-ups
A Stuffed Animal for the Brainy Student - Unusual Stocking Stuffer Idea

This looks like a neuron (brain cell). Great idea for the science student. And if you like this, you can always get them some other microbes too!
Mini Tool Set - Something really useful

I find myself needing mini screwdrivers all of the time. I've used them to repair my eyeglasses and to work on my computer. It's all too often that a little screwdriver is the perfect tool. This set will be appreciated by both the girls and guys. They might not use it on Christmas Day, but they will think of you next time they need a small tool.
Photo Ornaments for their Christmas Tree - Nostalgic Gift they'll Cherish

One day they will have their own house and their own Christmas tree, and it may mean a lot to them to have ornaments with special pictures. Christmas time brings back a lot of nostalgia.
Cheap Gadget that will Save them Time & Money! - Card Reader/Writer for Macs and PCs

Over 100 Reviews!
This is a card reader. It plugs into a USB port (which all computers have these days) and reads memory cards that are commonly used in phones, cameras, and tablets. Memory cards are super fast and fairly cheap. However, many computers don't have card readers. This enables a student to use a memory card (like an SD card) for transferring files, backing up data, etc, on any computer.... including computers available on college campuses and in college libraries!
It's a great alternative to using a USB flash drive. USB flash drives cost more and are generally slower than memory cards. So, if you want something that will really help out a student, this is definitely a worthwhile gadget to have.
