REAL Polar Express Train Rides in the US

Updated on November 2, 2012

My Daughter Fell IN LOVE with The Polar Express

At age four my oldest daughter fell IN LOVE with the Polar Express. She was even more shocked when we told her that trains were real!!!

I knew that next year, even if I had to drive halfway across the country I was going to have to find THE REAL Polar Express packaged complete with a stop to the North Pole. I'm starting my search in January, 2011 - so hopefully before next Thanksgiving this lens will be complete with the ins and outs of each Polar Express (or Christmas Train) in the US.

So stay tuned and check back soon as I gather more information on all the options for real Christmas train rides to the North Pole in 2011. I'll be posting a full comparison (so if you have experience or details about one please comment so I can include these details).

Find a REAL Polar ExpressTrain Ride Near You - Here's an Interactive map with all the Christmas Train's I've found.

Unfortunately there wasn't a way to link to the websites on this Google map. You'll find the phone numbers on the listing, but will have to search farther down in this page to find the website link.

you can feel it the air

you can hear it if you listen

everywhere so much care like a prayer

where ever it is you need to share it."

Toy Christmas Train Rides - Here are some of my favorite Christmas Toy Train sets.

LEGO Toy Story Western Train Chase (7597)
LEGO Toy Story Western Train Chase (7597)

I love this lego set! The train is adorable (but only come with half a set of tracks, so if you want to make a circle make sure to buy a second set of tracks.

Classic Children's Books for the Train Ride

Depending on what Christmas train ride you take, you could be inside the train for a while, and that could seem like an eternity to a young child that has Christmas-train-induced adrenaline. Why not make it a really special train ride, and bring along some classic holiday stories to read.

Would love to know more about where you took a train to the North Pole!

Tell us about your real north pole train experience...

I know there is one in Indiana also, The Whtiewater Valley Railroad in Indianapolis. It's only 10 days and sells out quickly every year. Great lens theme! Blessings.

When my children were younger, we took a Christmas train ride. Santa came onboard the train and sat with each child on the train for a short while.
