Ugglys Electronic Pets and Other UGLY Christmas Presents

Updated on October 8, 2014
It sure is UGLY!
It sure is UGLY!

Ugglys Pug Electronic Pet et al

I was quite surprised to surf around Amazon this morning and run across The Ugglys Pug Electronic Pet along with two other Ugglys toys which I'll show you in a minute.

I wasn't just surprised to see how, well, ugly these robotic puppets are, but, I was even more astonished once I read the toy's description: in a nutshell, the Ugglys electronic pets burp, pass gas, bark and growl. Sure doesn't seem like an optimum Christmas present for a young child, but someone must be buying these things.

So, in this article, I'll introduce you to the Ugglys electronic pet series - all the Ugglys dogs are pugs, just in different colors. And, as a co-owner of a pug, I can see why this toy company selected this breed!

So, come on! Let's get the particulars on these robot pets. I'm in a generous mood so I'll show you some of the other ugly toys I found while doing research.

Photos: All photos on Uggly's Electronic Pets And Other Ugly Christmas Toys are my own unless they're items for sale on Amazon.com. In fact, that picture to the left is the Ugglys Pug Electronic Pet in Brown. It sure is pretty ugly....

Ugglys are, well, Ugly.

The Ugglys Pug Electronic Pet - Grey

I'm not sure what pug ever has needed a spiked collar, but, as ugly and nasty as the Ugglys electronic pet pug is, it would keep me from touching the thing.

These electronic pets make over 30 disgusting sounds which can be slightly altered to be louder or softer, depending on the audiences' entertainment. Runs on batteries.

The pretty color of this Ugglys Electronic Pet doesn't hide the fact that it's got warts on its head. If you're into loud farting and amazing burps, this electronic toy should be in your stocking this Christmas.

Zelfs - the New Trolls.

I always hated those little troll dolls - they were just nasty looking and feeling. I seem to recall their hair always falling out, but that could have been that I used to feed them to my bulldog...don't quote me on that.

This new troll series, the Zelfs, must have been improved (hairwise, at least) as they come with their own brush, rubber bands, etc to keep their hair tidy. These toys also have a little charm that your child can wear if they'd like to.

There are 12 Zelfs in the series. Here's just one of the ugliest below.

The Deglingos Original Stuffed Toys

These stuffed toys are safe for all ages, babies included, and might just be ugly enough to be cute. They're French made, and reviewers give these toys high marks for durability, character, and the fact that, although Amazon has these notes as having small parts, there are none. Everything on the Deglingos Original Stuffed Toy set is sewn so it is safe for everyone.

What's your thoughts about these toys?
