Introducing The Valentine Kitten Concept

When I told my wife that the Rocket Squids Challenge was to write a lens on Valentines gifts. She said why not do one on kittens? So I am figuring that this is something she would like as a Valentines gift, and if she would I bet a lot of other Women would too?

Anyway this lens is being written and it is going to focus on cute kittens and cute kitten gifts for Valentine's Day. Now all I have to do is find lots of photos, videos and kitten related products that you can gift to your loved one for Valentines day so settle down with your coffee and let me take you on a ride through kitten town to find just the right gift for your Valentine.

Have fun read the Hub, watch the video, look at the pictures, take the poll, give the Hub a vote of confidence (or not). Than have your say too. This is a participative Hub so go on enjoy yourself read it and then have your say too.

Soft Pink Plush Kittens

A quick search of Amazon and I find these adorable plush pink kittens made just for your valentine!

One For The Smallest Girl In Your Life

This kitten comes complete with it's own carrying basket and what little girl would not love being able to take her kittie with her wherever she goes?

Collectors Item Valentine Kittens

Searching further into the depths of Amazon I found these adorable twin kittens behaving typically by using a teacup to hide in. This one is for the Mum's and china collectors that want an item that will last and maybe gain in value as it becomes a treasured antique over time.

More Cute Kitten Stuff

When I researched this Hub I quickly discovered that the internet has a whole plethora of cute kitten and cat stuff on it. It seems that we all love our pets in particular our cats. Our own cat Robin has several lenses (now Hubs) written about him and even by him check out Robin the Barn Kitten/Cat in Google.

Then I went into YouTube and the next video is just the cutest (although a bit staged) video that I could find. The kitten is almost, but not quite as cute as our Robin.

Watch it and then I would love to know what you all think. Just add your comments below!

Now Let Me Know What You Think

OK so now we have taken a look at some of the real kittens mine and my best friend Kirk's and the beautiful plush Valentines stuffed toys and porcelain models.

Next we had a video of one of the cutest little kittens playing at home with its adoptive parents. Now is your opportunity to have your say and a little fun. Find out what others think about kittens especially as a gift for Valentines (or any other time of year).

Please remember that if you do give a live kitten as a gift that they do come with responsibilities. Cats should be neutered at around 6 months of age, unless you know that you want to breed them and have all the proper facilities to do this.

Ensure that the new owner (if not yourself) has the finances to afford the regular trips to the veterinarian, and to feed and house the little pet safely and securely.

Please remember that any pet is for life and that means both yours and its, whichever is the longest (cats can live to be over 20). This means you need to think about how the owners circumstances may change in that time period too.

Now it's your turn let me know what you all think!

Tell your wife she had a cute idea. I don't know how a real one would go over, but they are sweet.

@tonyleather: That is the most important thing the person receiving has to be in a position to be able to look after it so ensure that the gift is what they want first, or be sure you can take it on if they can not for any reason.

Lovely idea, but a pet is a big commitment, so I would have to be certain the recipient was happy with that!

@Nancy Hardin: Well said I think animals should only ever go to forever homes if we have a choice.

I would never give any live animal to someone unless I knew that's what was wanted, because possibly they don't want the responsibility and then the animal suffers neglect or abuse. I love cats, dogs, all animals, but my ability to take care of them only extends to one at this time, my little pug dog. But if someone wanted a kitten, then I'd say it's the most wonderful Valentine gift they could receive!

@KimGiancaterino: It is funny how it is always the kitty that decides. Robin The Barn Kitten quite definitely decided to adopt us! LOL

We have plenty of kitty action around the house already with our seniors and fosters. A tiny kitten adopted us last year which really shook things up!
