Velma Costume - Have a Scooby-Doo Halloween!
Dress up as Velma!
Dress up as a smart and fun Scooby-Doo character Velma!
We didn't have cable when I was young so whenever I was visiting or staying at my grandparents who had cable and satellite TV I was glued to Cartoon Network. I carefuly examined what was playing and always made a schedule of shows I want to see and Scooby-Doo was one of them - I was lucky they often had Scooby-Doo marathons! I really liked Scooby and Shaggy (even as a kid I though the name was fun now it only makes me giggle more), I though they were really funny. Fred wasn't my favourite, he always seemed as someone who takes credit for other's works, Daphne was fun but Velma was the character I liked the most. She's smart, has the guts, true she was a bit to shy and all and I really could relate to her, well not with the color of her clothes as orange really doesn't work with my complexion (is that Daphne talking?).
Scooby-Doo costumes are a fun pick for Hallween but we'll be looking into Velma here. There's an official costume released but as I always prefer something with a bit more longevity I've also scooped out ordinary clothing pieces which will work for the look and you can wear even after the Halloween party is over.
The Lincesed Velma Halloween Costume - Inexpensive and gets the job done - Women's and Kids
I'll start of with two official costumes, one for the ladies an one for the little girls. While both of these do look really great you can't wear them on other occasions. Well the girls can as there's always room for pretend play.
I do like how the skirt looks here and well the colors are just as they should be but there's one thing this costume lack! It doesn't come with the stockings so you'll have to buy them too. I really don't know what they were thinking.
They did the same mistake with the child's costume, you get the whole package minus the socks. But I would get this one for a kid as the right regular clothes are a bit harder to find.

Accessorize! - Magnifying Glass will look awesome
Let's make our own Velma costume! - From head till toes
If you're not like me and can wear orange you will be able to wear these all year round... Or well at least when the temperatures will allow it.
I have long hair and there's no chance I would cut it for a Halloween look so a wig is a must. This one will do just nicely.
Socks! If you're making your own costume or if you're getting the official one you'll be needing a pair of orange ones! I am a sock-a-holic, I have more than 100 pairs of colorful socks and the collection keeps on growing.
